The DPS build focuses on maximizing the damage of Wulfgard’s enhanced Thermite Tracers by first applying Combustion via Frag Grenade·β and then consuming it. The Hot Work gear set grants a temporary 50% Heat DMG increase upon inflicting Combustion, while Clannibal further debuffs the enemy's Arts Resistance. Together, they create a burst window where the Battle Skill’s additional hit deals massive Heat damage. This build is ideal for teams that can reliably set up non-Heat Inflictions, allowing Wulfgard to trigger the chain himself.

Clannibal is the top choice because its Infliction essence raises Arts DMG and applies a debuff on the target when consuming an Arts Reaction, amplifying the devastating additional hit of Thermite Tracers.

Wedge works as a reliable alternative, offering similar Arts DMG buffs that stack after skill cast and reaction application, and is obtainable from the weapon selector.

Rational Farewell and Long Road are budget-friendly options that boost ATK or Battle Skill DMG, but they lack the dedicated Arts DMG Taken debuff that makes Clannibal superior.

The Hot Work gear set directly increases Heat DMG for 10 seconds after Combustion is applied, which is the exact condition Wulfgard creates before his main nuke.

Each piece of Hot Work provides Strength, Agility, and Arts Intensity, all key stats for his output.
