Nicole requires 4000 ATK to unlock her full ATK buff.
Her Burst deals additional damage that counts as being dealt by the triggering character, not Nicole herself. This damage matches the triggering character's elemental type but never applies that element.
Some teams gain little to nothing from Nicole's Burst; in those compositions, building Energy Recharge is unnecessary.
Tolling Rally does not affect Prune herself. It caps at 4,000 ATK, a threshold typically unreachable outside a Hexerei team.
After using Press Skill (1E), Lumi continuously deals Lunar Crystallize and Geo DMG. Using Hold Skill (4E) triggers Million Ton Crush, unleashing all accumulated Lunar Crystallize DMG, then only continuous Geo DMG remains. Both modes deal similar total damage; however, Press Skill is generally more advisable for most team compositions.
Varka demands a team with a second Geo character, a second Anemo character, and two characters sharing the same Pyro, Hydro, Electro, or Cryo element (PHEC).
Failing these conditions causes his damage to plummet.
Lightkeeper's Oath does not affect Illuga himself.
Nightingale's Song starts at 21 stacks. Each Geo Construct on field at Burst cast or created during it grants 5 stacks — max 15 extra.
Moondrifts from Lunar-Crystallize count as Geo Constructs.
Zibai requires another Moonsign character in the team to unlock a large portion of her damage potential.

Zibai's combo can be unreliable because her teams generally feature slower off-field Hydro appliers that interfere with proccing Lunar-Crystallized at the right moment. This makes her combo more flexible to adapt situationally.
From C1 onward, activate Burst before Skill so the extra Gravity Interference from C1 benefits from the Burst’s buff.
Activating Durin's Burst after using his Skill and one Normal Attack triggers Denial form. While in this form, the Burst strikes every 1.25s, with every other hit capable of Vaporize or Melt.
Use Moonsign: Ascendant Gleam;infusion:PyroHydroElectroCryo;Burst heals lowest-HP ally at ≥70% HP;C6 ifPurr-Loined Treasure Flaskfull.
Seeds of Deceit deal no damage and cannot trigger Hyperbloom or Burgeon. Their sole purpose is to amplify Burst damage and grant Lunar% buffs to her Skill.
Flins requires another Moonsign character in his team to unlock a major damage multiplier. Without this synergy, his damage output drops significantly.
Aino's A1 passive: When Moonsign: Ascendant Gleam is active (requires 2+ Nod-Krai characters in the party, Aino included), her Burst attacks more frequently and deals increased AoE DMG.
Lauma's Burst buffs 36 instances of Bloom-related damage per target; in AoE, it depletes much faster.
Lauma's hold Skill consumes Verdant Dew stacks (gained from triggering Lunar-Bloom reaction every 2.5s). Recommended 2–3 stacks before hold; otherwise tap Skill to conserve stacks.
Birgitta outlasts both Skill and Burst cooldowns of Ineffa, giving her 100% field uptime.
For Ineffa with high Energy Recharge requirements (140%+), stacking ER to Burst every rotation sacrifices personal damage for more teamwide buff uptime.
When Ineffa is a primary damage source, use her Burst every other rotation and ignore Energy Recharge.
Dahlia's shield absorbs damage; when broken, overflow damage hits the active character before a new shield is granted via a Benison stack.
Her A4 passive maximum benefit is reached at 40,000 HP.
Skirk uses Serpent's Subtlety instead of Energy. No benefit from Energy Recharge; Energy remains 0.

Escoffier's Hold Skill yields up to 10 specialty dishes each week. However, it offers no combat utility — do not use it to cook your enemies.
Iansan's buff scales from three factors: ATK total, Nightsoul Points (max 54), and a "Kinetic Energy Scale."
Buff value drops below 42 Nightsoul Points — consistent movement sustains uptime.
At C4, overflowed Nightsoul Points are frontloaded on the next Skill cast.
Varesa combos are flexible: most revolve around [En1P En1P (Burst)] chunks, usable at any time. Before C2, fast animations mean you can’t fill field time with Skill alone—pairing a secondary DPS or using [Cp Cp] to set up the next rotation works well. Starting with a short hold Skill while using Obsidian Codex (4) yields the highest average DMG.
Lan Yan's shield performs Elemental Absorption when her Skill makes contact with an enemy—absorbing Pyro, Hydro, Electro, or Cryo—then gaining increased resistance to that element.
Traveler's Skill has two variations:
Tap: Forms a ring around the current character, dealing damage to nearby enemies.
Hold: Triggers a coordinated attack whenever the current character deals damage.
Mavuika uses Fighting Spirit instead of Energy — Energy Recharge substats are deadweight. Gain Fighting Spirit via a Natlan character consuming Nightsoul Points, or the active character landing Normal Attacks. Burst requires only half the gauge, but damage scales with accumulated Fighting Spirit.
For Melt onfield: 3 Charged Attacks → Final Slash → dash → 3 Charged Attacks → Final Slash (easier: 4 Charged Attacks → jump → 3 Charged Attacks → Final Slash).
For Vaporize, Kaeya Melt, or reactionless (mono-Pyro/Overload): 5 repeats of 2 Charged Attacks → dash. Against persistent Cryo/Hydro aura, 6 repeats of Charged Attack → dash → Normal Attack perform better and break shields reliably.
Chasca's bullets follow the "last in, first out" rule: the last loaded bullet hits first, while the Anemo bullet in slot 1 hits last.
To maximize the conversion rate and Damage Bonus from her passive Bullet Trick, ideally have three different Pyro/Hydro/Electro/Cryo teammates.
Ideal combo: 4 Charged Attacks with 6 bullets loaded (CA6).
Xilonen's Burst heals the active character if 2+ Samplers had their element changed; otherwise, it deals extra Geo DMG. Resistance shred from Samplers requires 2+ PHEC members. Use Skill then Normal Attack until Nightsoul Points are full (2–3 NAs). At C2, Geo Samplers are always active, enabling teams with 2+ Geo members.
Xiangling's Pyronado rotates clockwise; strafe counter‑clockwise with your on‑field character to keep enemies inside its path for extra Pyro applications.
Geo Construct Turbo Twirly can be recalled via Kachina's Burst when already on-field, enabling quick repositioning without mounting it.
C2 instead summons a new Turbo Twirly if none is present.
At C1, Sigewinne now gains 18 Convalescence stacks per Skill hit instead of the base 2. This massively boosts Burst healing and Hydro application.
Optimal skill combos (notation: N=Normal, E=Skill, Q=Burst):
With Burst: Q>E>E>5N3E>N2/3; or Q>E>6N3E.
Without Burst: E>6N3E.
Skill > team buffs > CA > 6(N3D) or 3(N5D).
In Vaporize or Melt teams, 6(N3D) is preferred.
Most teams will not use all three charges of Xianyun's Skill, as it is too time-intensive. A simple Skill into Burst rotation is optimal for most team compositions.
Navia full combo: Skill → N3D N2 → Skill → N3D N2. The final N2 is omitted if Fischl or Xiangling are used during Bennett's Burst before Navia, ensuring Crystallize shards are available for her Skill.
When Charlotte's Hold Skill is used while the Special Analysis Zoom Lens gadget is toggled on, it triggers Photo Mode instead. Disable this gadget from the Inventory to use her Hold Skill normally in combat.
Furina's Skill drains party HP over time. Her Burst converts these HP fluctuations into DMG Bonus. Therefore, teamwide healers such as Baizhu, Jean, or Charlotte are recommended to maintain HP and maximize Burst effectiveness.
Elemental Skill → Elemental Burst → two Normal Attacks → Elemental Skill → repeat three times: one Normal Attack → Elemental Skill → two Normal Attacks → then either Elemental Skill or Normal Attack.
At Pressure Level 4, a Normal Attack can replace the Elemental Skill at the end because it also ends the Pers Timer state.
Hydro Traveler is not recommended unless required for Pneuma mechanics and you lack the Sword of Narzissenkreuz.
Its hold Skill fails to generate Energy particles if interrupted.
Baizhu's Elemental Skill applies healing after a 2–3s delay. Swap to low-HP allies only after that window to avoid missing the heal.
Pre-cast the Skill before starting your rotation to ensure the effect lands on the intended character.
Kaveh's optimal combo is N3D — three Normal Attacks canceled with a Dash at the end.
As a support, Dehya relies on her Skill to provide Interruption Resistance and damage mitigation, not her Burst. Build HP% and Energy Recharge with Tenacity of the Millelith. Pair with Hu Tao for Pyro resonance and safe Vaporize setups.
Burst up: Cast Burst (Q) then Skill (E). Follow with combo: N2D, 2N3D, N1C, 2N2C.
Burst down: Use Skill (E) first. Then combo: N1C, 5N2C, N1.
The extra Yuegui from Yaoyao's Burst despawn upon her swap.
With Favonius Lance, execute Skill then two Normal Attacks to proc the Energy Recharge passive.

In certain team rotations, Candace's hold Elemental Skill cooldown is too long for smooth execution. Without C4, avoid taking damage to skip the hold entirely and use a tap Skill as quickly as possible instead.
Thundering Fury (4): Skill, 1 Normal Attack, Burst, Skill, 6× 4 Normal Attacks + Skill.
No Thundering Fury: Skill, 1 Normal Attack, Burst, 2 Normal Attacks + Skill, 3× 5 Normal Attacks + 2 Normal Attacks + Skill.
For optimal Energy management, weave two Elemental Skill uses per Elemental Burst rotation. This drastically lowers her extreme Energy Recharge demands, freeing substats for CRIT Rate or Elemental Mastery.
Collei's standard sequence: Skill → Burst → swap out. This front-loads Dendro application and Quicken uptime for the team.
With Polar Star: Normal Attack (N1) → tap Charged Attack → Skill → Burst → swap. The N1 and charged attack stack the weapon's ATK% passive before the Skill snapshot benefit.
Skill → Charged Attack → Burst → Charged Attack (x2) – hardest execution, but lets his Burst benefit from A1 and funnel Skill particles to the next Burst.
Skill → Charged Attack (x3) → Burst – Burst still gets A1, but no particle funneling.

Activate Ayato's Burst before his Skill to maximize his Normal Attack DMG. Sufficient Energy Recharge is crucial, varying by team. Due to the long Burst cast time, snapshotting into temporary buffs may not be worthwhile. The number of slashes during the Skill window can be influenced by the player's set FPS.
Start rotations with three Skill casts to deploy all Sesshou Sakura, boosting Burst damage. Combo: Skill x3 → Burst → Skill x3. After the initial triple Skill, swap to supports for buff rotations then Burst. Yae Miko's abilities do not snapshot—damage scales dynamically with active buffs.
Shenhe's Tap Skill grants a 15% DMG bonus to Elemental Skill and Burst for 10s to the entire party. Her Hold Skill provides a 15% DMG bonus to Normal Attack, Charged Attack, and Plunge Attack for 15s.
C2 extends Gorou's Burst from 9s to 12s after obtaining Crystallize shields. This prolongs the 15% Geo DMG Bonus for a 3-Geo party. Activate Burst last before swapping to your DPS to maximize the buff's uptime.
Kokomi's Elemental Burst dynamically refreshes her Skill damage — snapshotting the buff and swapping out is not possible.
Sara’s Elemental Skill requires a Charged Shot to place a Crowfeather. If its explosion hits an enemy, it generates 3 Particles.
C2’s dropped Crowfeathers do not generate Particles.
Start with Raiden Shogun's Elemental Skill.

Ayaka's Charged Attack, Skill, and Burst all hit enemies suspended by Venti's Burst. Her Burst lingers on Cryo-affected frozen enemies; against unfrozen foes, it knocks them back.
Note: Do not level Elemental Skill or Burst beyond talent level 7 — the energy particles generated remain fixed and do not increase with higher talent levels.
Kazuha's Burst absorbs Pyro > Hydro > Electro > Cryo from both the active character and enemies. Standing in Bennett's Burst infuses Pyro, applying Pyro to the active character.
Without Burst: spam Normal Attacks → Tap Skill → repeat.
Tap Skill → Burst → 4 Normal Attacks → Hold Skill → 4 Normal Attacks.

Yanfei's A4 triggers extra Pyro damage only on a CRIT hit, so her ideal CRIT Rate:CRIT DMG ratio skews toward 3:4 or 3:5 instead of the standard 1:2.
Cast Skill before Burst so the CRIT Rate from Ascension 1 counts toward Ascension 4's party-wide share.
Rosaria's Skill and Burst can trigger Melt (1.5x) with a Pyro applier for quick burst damage.
When ending combos with Burst, skipping a jump or dash cancel on the final Charged Attack still allows it to benefit from Skill's Pyro infusion and ATK boost. To maximize damage, use N2CJ at C0 and N2CD at C1. For stamina conservation, N3CJ or N3CD work at the cost of some damage. *N = Normal Attack, C = Charged Attack, J = Jump, D = Dash.
Xiao's optimal rotation: Skill → Skill → Burst → plunge combo.
Single‑target plunge combos:

Ganyu's Burst applies Cryo too frequently in most Melt teams, overriding the Pyro aura needed for her Charged Attack to trigger Melt. Skip it to keep reactions consistent.
Casting Albedo's Elemental Skill directly onto a boss's hitbox summons a Solar Isotoma only if the initial strike connects. This ensures consistent Geo DMG pulses and Crystallize shards even as the boss moves—ideal for Husk of Opulent Dreams with DEF% and CRIT Rate.
Diona's Skill deploys a Cryo shield. Swapping party members while the shield is active applies Cryo to the new character, removing Hydro or Electro auras for a reliable cleanse. This mechanic enables safe Melt triggers and counters environmental debuffs.
Skill Duration per Constellation:
C0: 7s, 9s, or 12s.
C1: 9s, 11s, or 14s.
Melee Burst: Use only when one rotation clears. Requires high Energy Recharge (170–190%) to sustain uptime. Always start rotations with Ranged Burst—it refunds energy to maintain the rotation.
Skill Combo:
- 2 Normal Attack + 1 Charged Attack (Optimal): highest damage but consumes more stamina.
- 3 Normal Attack + 1 Charged Attack (Recommended): slightly less damage, stamina-neutral, works with most weapons.
- 5 Normal Attack + 1 Charged Attack (Recommended with Rust or Thundering Pulse).
Barbara's Skill pulses healing every 5s, applying Hydro on each tick. This cleanses status effects—one pulse removes Pyro, others may need more. However, Hydro + Cryo triggers Freeze, immobilizing you. Use cautiously near Cryo hazards.
Bennett's C6 infuses melee weapons with Pyro, overriding other infusions and disrupting teams that rely on Vaporize or physical setups. However, reaching C6 Bennett typically means you already own supports such as Xingqiu or Kazuha, which those comps prefer over him.
Chongyun's Burst deals Cryo damage with Claymore hitboxes, enabling efficient destruction of Geo shields and structures. It can also trigger Shatter against frozen opponents.
Diluc has several combos during his field time. N = Normal Attack, E = Elemental Skill, Q = Elemental Burst (e.g., N2 = two Normal Attacks). The most common combo is Q N2 E N2 E N2 E. This fits perfectly into the buff window of his teams. For high upfront damage, use E Q N1 E N1 E N1. This falls off significantly if the enemy isn’t killed within this window. Both Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst summon Oz. Alternate between them to ensure near-permanent uptime.
Recommended Combos:
With the Thundering Fury 4-piece set: Skill → Burst → Skill → 2 Normal Attacks → Charged Attack → Skill → 2 Normal Attacks → Charged Attack.
Without Thundering Fury: Skill → Burst → Skill → 4 Normal Attacks → Charged Attack.
Klee uses animation cancels to deal damage faster. Her Ascension Passive 1 guarantees an Explosive Spark from Skill or Burst; Normal Attacks have a 50% chance via Hexerei. Consuming a spark on a Charged Attack grants 50% DMG% and zero stamina cost. Optimal combos: N1C or N3C when spark is active; otherwise N1C with walk cancel (N1W) to maintain damage uptime.
Lisa on-field rotation fundamentals:
Use hold Skill and Burst each cycle. Consistently weave Normal Attacks between tap Skill or Charged Attacks.
Example: tap Skill → Burst → tap Skill → Charged Attack → Normal Attack (x1) → tap Skill → Charged Attack → tap Skill → (swap to teammates) → tap Skill → hold Skill (3 stacks) → 2[Normal Attack (x2) → Charged Attack]
To trigger Mona's Burst with the Vaporize 2.0× multiplier:
1. Apply Pyro to the enemy.
2. Cast her Burst; it reacts and removes the Pyro aura.
3. Wait 2.5 s for the ICD. Keep Mona on-field if using Bennett to retain his buff.
4. Swap to a Pyro character and reapply Pyro.
5. The Burst pops upon the enemy being hit, applying Hydro and Vaporizeing her damage.
Ningguang's Elemental Skill has a 6‑second internal cooldown on generating Energy particles. Wait that full duration between casts to sustain Elemental Burst uptime. Casting it on another Geo Structure instantly breaks the first Jade Screen—use this intentionally for quick removal.

With Redhorn Stonethresher, Charged Attack becomes more effective. While spinning, opening and closing the Map or Adventurer's Handbook once bypasses the 5-second restriction.
Razor’s Tap Elemental Skill has a shorter cooldown than the Hold version, making it the preferred option.
His Burst resets Skill cooldown, enabling the standard opener: Tap Skill → Burst → Tap Skill.
When equipping Viridescent Venerer (4), do not swap off immediately after using Skill or Burst. Remain on-field until the Swirl occurs to activate the 4-piece effect: Anemo RES shred and Swirl damage bonus.
After casting Burst, stay on-field until Swirl triggers the Viridescent Venerer 4-set debuff. Using Elemental Skill before Burst (E > Q) ensures the debuff lands before swapping. Venti's Burst absorbs an element when he contacts an ally’s aura. Example: Bennett's Burst → Venti's Burst → walk into the field to infuse Pyro.
