- Skyward Blade: This ranking assumes Ayato needs 135% Energy Recharge to use his Burst every rotation. Its ranking changes based on his Energy Recharge Requirements.
- Summit Shaper: In teams where ATK buffs are scarce, this weapon has the potential to rival The Black Sword.
- Finale of the Deep: If you can reliably clear the Bond of Life, this weapon is better than the weapons ranked equal to it.
- The Black Sword: At R5 this weapon is roughly equal to Summit Shaper.
- Lion's Roar: In Electro-Charged teams, this weapon performs about equal to Summit Shaper.
- Harbinger of Dawn: Only recommended with a shielder. If shielded, this weapon is better than Finale of the Deep and can rival Splendor of Tranquil Waters in teams with high amounts of ATK buffs.

- Echoes of an Offering (4): The performance of this artifact set is inconsistent, and is based on user ping and other factors. It is not recommended to run this set unless your ping is consistently below 100. If you can achieve this, Echoes of an Offering (4) is competitive with Heart of Depth (4).
- Marechaussee Hunter (4): If Ayato is used in a Burgeon team where he consistently takes damage, or with Furina, this is Ayato's best set.
- Nymph's Dream (4): Reliant on Ayato's Water Illusion hitting enemies which can be inconsistent against some content. Without the third stack of the passive, this set becomes about equal to +15% Hydro DMG set (2) +18% ATK set (2).
- Blizzard Strayer (4): When run in a Freeze Team, this is Ayato's best set. Note that it is not recommended to farm specifically for this set.
