DPS
Xiao is a Hypercarry that revolves around plunge attacks. His expensive Elemental Burst requires a high amount of Energy Recharge and/or at least one Anemo battery (e.g., Sucrose, C6 Faruzan, Xianyun) on the team to recharge his burst effectively.
Weapon Choices:
- Calamity Queller: Becomes more valuable in teams without Bennett or Xianyun.
- Crimson Moon's Semblance: A strong stat stick with high base attack and Crit Rate substat. Its passive can be utilized by performing a charged attack at the start of Xiao's burst in teams without or with only Bennett's healing.
- Vortex Vanquisher: Assumes no shield on the team. Performs better in teams with a shield or without Xianyun or Bennett.
- Skyward Spine and Favonius Lance: These weapons shine in teams with very high Energy Recharge requirements.
- Blackcliff Pole: Similar to Calamity Queller in teams with Bennett. Its passive is unreliable but can slightly improve rankings when triggered.
- Lithic Spear: Performance varies with refinements and stacks. At R5, it matches Blackcliff Pole with one stack and Calamity Queller with two stacks.
- Missive Windspear [R5]: If Xiao can reliably trigger its passive, it performs closer to Blackcliff Pole.
- Prospector's Drill: At R5, it matches Skyward Spine with a reliable healer present.
- Marechaussee Hunter (4): Outperforms Vermillion Hereafter (4) with Bennett or Xianyun on the team. Difficult to build around with Crit Rate weapons.
- Long Night's Oath (4): A strong alternative but not recommended to farm due to its inefficient domain and dependency on team and skill mechanics.
- Desert Pavilion Chronicle (4): Perform a charged attack at the start of Xiao's burst to maximize its effect. With a low base attack weapon and Bennett, it matches Vermillion Hereafter (4). Not worth farming specifically for Xiao.
