A TierChiz Build Guide
Chiz is a strong on-field Cosmos DPS whose entire kit revolves around managing Grain, a stock market-like resource that boosts her damage the more she holds. She can continuously dump Cosmos DMG onto enemies by spinning with her Skill and refreshing her Grain with her Ultimate, making her easy to pick up once you get used to the Grain economy. Pair her with Anima or Lakshana allies to power Blossom, Remora, or her best-in-slot Charge teams.
Strengths
- Excellent sustained Cosmos DMG that scales with how much Grain she is holding
- Ultimate temporarily resets Grain to 15,000, enabling a huge burst window
- Held Skill lets her keep spinning and consuming Grain for continuous damage
- Doubles as a Fons farmer thanks to her special on-field kit
- Flexible team options across Charge, Blossom, and Remora compositions
Weaknesses
- Grain management is confusing at first and punishing if you drop into negative Grain
- Best Arc (Contemplative Cat) wants at least 1,000,000 Fons banked to cap its bonus
- Her strongest team, Charge, is the least accessible to build
- Support Skill is the weakest part of her kit and a low upgrade priority
- Needs a shielder or healer like Adler to survive her long spin combos
Best Arcs

Mammon: Increases Cosmos DMG by 2.5% for every 100,000 Fons the wearer holds, up to 10 stacks.

"Bopp": Increases wearer's damage dealt by 18% for 10s after casting Support Skill. Triggers at most once every 20s.

Huggy Vines: Restores wearer's HP by 12% upon defeating an enemy. Triggers at most once every 20s.
Best Cartridge
Epic (2): Cosmos DMG +10%. Legendary (4): Ignores 25% of enemies' DEF for 20s after the wearer casts Ultimate.
Best Main Stat: CRIT Rate / CRIT DMG
- Chiz already gains up to 50% bonus Cosmos DMG from her Bonus Module, so slot CRIT Rate or CRIT DMG depending on which she lacks
- CRIT Rate is preferred because she has fewer sources of it, and it improves damage consistency
- Aim for ATK%, DMG, ATK, CRIT Rate, and CRIT DMG on substats
Module Layout
Required Modules
Bonus: Type III (+10% Cosmos DMG Bonus)
Total Bonus: +40% Cosmos DMG Bonus
Substat Priority
- Layout activates Lost Radiance's 4-piece effect while maximizing the Bonus Module's Cosmos DMG
- Prioritize Modules that carry the listed substats to push Chiz's Cosmos DMG higher
Best Teams
A Charge-focused squad built around Chiz as an on-field Cosmos DPS who also farms Fons, with Hathor and Jiuyuan or Mint applying extra damage before and after her combos. Charge can be hard to trigger, so the team can also lean on Blossom or Remora Esper Cycle damage, while Adler's shields keep Chiz alive through her long spins.

Chiz
Main DPS
On-field Cosmos DPS and Fons farmer; enters last with an Esper Cycle ready and runs the Skill/Ultimate spin combos

Hathor
Sub-DPS
Deals her own damage rotation when Chiz does not get her Ultimate back immediately or Charge fails to trigger

Jiuyuan
Sub-DPS (Flex)
Sub-DPS for the Charge setup; swap with Mint depending on what you have built

Adler
Support
Does not support these Esper Cycles, but his shields are essential for keeping Chiz alive during her combos
Alternatives
Start with Adler Skill, then Jiuyuan Skill, then swap into Chiz to trigger Blossom on swap
Use Chiz Ultimate, then repeat (Chiz Skill into two Basic Attacks) three times
Follow with Hathor Skill, then Chiz Skill to trigger Remora or Charge on swap
Use Chiz Ultimate again and repeat (Chiz Skill into two Basic Attacks) three times
Close the rotation with Jiuyuan Ultimate
- Chiz wants to be used earlier in the fight than a typical DPS, since Charge helps her get her Ultimate back faster
- Charge is her best team archetype but the least accessible; Blossom is the second-best alternative
- The two Basic Attacks between Skills give her time for her Ultimate's bars to come back up, increasing damage
Skill Priority
Temporary Entry (Support Skill)
Strong but the lowest priority of her skills to level.
Zero-Sum Game (Ultimate)
Another major damage source, especially if you time her Skill usage well. Level it right after her Skill.
Exiled Swordplay (Basic Attack)
Important for building Grain during her combos. Level it alongside her Ultimate to raise her damage output.
Pink Paws Priority Principe (Skill)
A huge chunk of Chiz's damage comes from her Skill, so level this first.
Awakening Priority
To Riceball, Bandage, Fons
Increases Chiz's Grain acquisition efficiency so she fills her Grain faster. Take this Awakening first.
If There Were No Rainy Days
Raises the chance that Grain prices increase when Chiz uses her Ultimate, improving her damage after each Ultimate.
Blank Diary Pages
Fills Chiz's Grain storage when entering combat, letting her deal maximum damage right from the opening combo.
Thirty-Three Days
Improves the amount of Bonus Cosmos DMG Chiz gains from Grain, raising her overall damage output.
Sun, Sun... speak to me!
Lets her store even more Grain once she already has multiple ways to fill it quickly.
Fireworks in Silence
Grants passive Grain production as long as Chiz's Grain count stays in the positive.
How to Play
Chiz is an on-field Cosmos DPS who wants to enter the field last with an Esper Cycle ready, spend her Grain on Skill spins and Basic Attacks, then refresh the resource with her Ultimate once it runs low. Managing Grain in the positive is the core of playing her well, and her Ultimate's temporary Grain reset gives her a second full damage window every rotation.
Rotations
- 1Adler Skill -> Jiuyuan Skill -> Chiz Skill (Blossom trigger on swap) -> Chiz Ultimate -> (Chiz Skill -> Basic Attack x2) three times -> Hathor Skill -> Chiz Skill (Remora/Charge trigger on swap) -> Chiz Ultimate -> (Chiz Skill -> Basic Attack x2) three times -> Jiuyuan Ultimate
Tips
- Hold the Skill button to keep spinning and continuously consume Grain, but never let the count hit negative values or her damage drops
- Her Ultimate temporarily resets Grain back to 15,000, so spin the Grain out first and use the Ultimate to refill it
- Pair her with Lakshana units for Remora, Anima units for Blossom, or both for Charge, which is her strongest archetype
- Blossom is her second-best archetype and much more accessible than Charge
- Use her Basic Attacks to recover Grain spent on earlier spins while waiting on her Ultimate
