A Tier TierChiz Build Guide
Chiz is a strong DPS character that can continuously deal Cosmos DMG to enemies with her kit, which revolves around the management of Grain. The more Grain Chiz has, the stronger her attacks become. While Chiz's kit may seem confusing at first with its stock market-like mechanics, it is easy to get used to and will allow you to dispatch enemies with ease.
Strengths
- High Cosmos DMG output
- Unique Grain management system allows for flexible combos
- Can function in multiple team compositions
Weaknesses
- Requires managing Grain to avoid negative values
- Best Arc requires holding 1,000,000 Fons to maximize bonus
- Charge team can be inconsistent without proper setup
Best Arcs
Increases Cosmos DMG by 2.5% for every 100000 Fons the wearer holds, up to 10 stacks. (Base effect: Mammon)
Increases wearer's damage dealt by 18% for 10s after casting Support Skill. Triggers at most once every 20s. (Base effect: 'Bopp')
Restores wearer's HP by 12% upon defeating an enemy. Triggers at most once every 20s. (Base effect: Huggy Vines)
Best Cartridge
Epic (2): Cosmos DMG +10%. Legendary (4): Ignores 25% of enemies' DEF for 20s after the wearer casts Ultimate. Effect does not stack.
Best Main Stat: CRIT Rate
- Chiz gains up to 50% bonus Cosmos DMG from her Bonus Module, so prioritize CRIT Rate for consistency
- Can also use CRIT DMG if CRIT Rate is sufficient
Module Layout
Required Modules
Bonus: Type III (+10% Cosmos DMG Bonus)
Total Bonus: +40% Cosmos DMG Bonus
Substat Priority
- Layout activates Lost Radiance 4-piece effect and maximizes bonus Module bonuses
- Prioritize sub stats in the order listed for maximum Cosmos DMG
Best Teams
Chiz functions as a special On-Field Cosmos DPS that lets you farm Fons, making her a good DPS option in a Charge team. Charge can be hard to trigger, so this team can also focus on Blossom or Remora damage. Adler provides shields for survivability.
Chiz
Main DPS
On-field Cosmos DPS; manages Grain for damage
Hathor
Sub-DPS
Sub-DPS for additional damage
Jiuyuan
Sub-DPS (Flex)
Flexible slot; can be replaced with Mint
Adler
Support
Provides shields for survivability
Alternatives
Start with Adler Skill, then Jiuyuan Skill, then swap to Chiz with Skill (Blossom Trigger)
Chiz uses Ultimate, then repeats Skill + 2 Basic Attacks three times
If Charge triggers, can switch to Hathor for rotation; otherwise continue with Chiz
Use Jiuyuan Ultimate when available
- Charge team is best for Chiz but may require specific Conditions
- Blossom team is second best if Charge is not viable
Skill Priority
Temporary Entry (Support Skill)
Lowest priority, though still useful.
Zero-Sum Game (Ultimate)
Another big source of damage, especially with good Skill timing. Level after Skill.
Exiled Swordplay (Basic Attack)
Important for building Grain. Level alongside Ultimate.
Pink Paws Priority Principe (Skill)
A huge chunk of Chiz's damage comes from her Skill. Prioritize leveling this first.
Awakening Priority
To Riceball, Bandage, Fons
Increases Grain acquisition efficiency, allowing faster Grain filling. Take first.
If There Were No Rainy Days
Increases chance of Grain price increase on Ultimate. Take second to boost damage.
Blank Diary Pages
Fills Grain storage on combat start, maximizing damage from the beginning. Take third.
Thirty-Three Days
Improves Bonus Cosmos DMG from Grain. Take fourth.
Sun, Sun... speak to me!
Allows storing more Grain. Take fifth.
Fireworks in Silence
Passive Grain production when Grain is positive. Take last.
How to Play
Chiz should be the last to enter in a team rotation, preferably with an Esper Cycle ready. Enter with Chiz and spam Skill with Basic Attacks, or use Held Skill to spin and consume Grain. When Grain is low, use Ultimate to reset Grain and gain increased Skill damage. After Ultimate, swap back to Supports to restart rotation.
Rotations
- 1 Adler Skill → Jiuyuan Skill → Chiz Skill (Blossom Trigger on Swap) → Chiz Ultimate → (Chiz Skill → Basic Attack x2) 3 times → Hathor Skill → Chiz Skill (Remora/Charge Trigger on Swap) → Chiz Ultimate → (Chiz Skill → Basic Attack x2) 3 times → Jiuyuan Ultimate
Tips
- Can hold Skill to continuously consume Grain, but avoid negative Grain as it reduces damage
- Team up with Anima or Lakshana characters for Blossom or Remora teams, or both for Charge team
- Ultimate temporarily resets Grain to 15,000, enabling extended combos
