C TierEdgar Build Guide
Edgar is a Cosmos healer who channels a large heal via his Skill and provides an area heal with his Ultimate. He can keep allies topped off but his healing is mostly stationary — both his Skill (channel) and Ultimate (fixed-domain) make it hard to support very mobile allies or bosses.
Strengths
- Strong single-target and area healing from Skill and Ultimate.
- Can also deal damage while healing (Skill + Awakening synergy).
- Passive (Gentle Edge) can instantly fill an ally's Ultimate in Charge comps.
Weaknesses
- Healing is stationary: Skill channels in place and Ultimate is a fixed domain.
- Harder to heal mobile allies or when enemies force movement.
- Charge-based passive has a 30s disable window after use.
Best Arcs
Best Cartridge
Epic 2-piece: HP +10%. Legendary 4-piece: Increases wearer's Healing Bonus by 20%.
Best Main Stat: Healing Bonus or HP%
- Healing Bonus (main stat) and HP% (substats) both increase healing effectiveness.
- If possible, pick Healing Bonus as main stat and stack HP% on substats — both approaches are valid.
Module Layout
Required Modules
Bonus: Type III (+10% HP)
Total Bonus: +60% HP
Substat Priority
- Use the layout that completes Thea's Night Tavern 4-piece while taking a Type III bonus module.
- Prioritize HP% and HP substats to increase heal magnitude; Cycle Intensity helps uptime a bit.
Best Teams
Charge-focused team that uses the Charge Eclipse Cycle to give Edgar big Ultimate-energy bursts for the active character. Edgar is the support healer; the Lakshana slot can be Hathor or Skia to apply Remora and help trigger Charge mechanics.
Edgar
Support
Main healer and Charge enabler (Gentle Edge passive).
Hathor
Sub-DPS (Lakshana) (Flex)
Can be swapped with Skia; provides Remora and utility.
Nanally
Main DPS (Flex)
Primary finisher; can be replaced by Mint depending on damage type.
Jiuyuan
Sub-DPS (Flex)
Provides stronger Blossom reactions; can be swapped with Esper Zero for faster Eclipse cycles.
Alternatives
Keep Edgar ready to channel Skill when the active ally needs healing.
Use Lakshana (Hathor/Skia) to apply Remora so Blossom/Vita triggers generate Charge energy.
Timing: trigger Charge cycles to instantly fill an ally's Ultimate (Gentle Edge gives 120 UE); use that window for big plays.
- Edgar's passive gives large Ultimate energy on Charge — this can charge allies to full for immediate Ultimates.
- Be aware the Charge energy recovery (from Charge and from Edgar) is disabled for 30s after use.
Blossom-centric team where Edgar acts as the healer while the team focuses on Blossom reactions. Edgar heals low-health allies and the team uses Blossom triggers to generate damage/benefits.
Edgar
Support
Heals and supports Blossom setups.
Nanally
Main DPS (Flex)
Primary Blossom DPS; can be Mint instead.
Zero
Sub-DPS
Esper Zero triggers Blossom reliably.
Jiuyuan
Sub-DPS
Strengthens Blossom reaction as a supporting sub-DPS.
Alternatives
Use Edgar to keep the party healthy while Blossom triggers do the heavy damage.
Have Esper Zero trigger Blossom reliably while Nanally/Mint acts as the main damage dealer.
Position allies in Edgar's Ultimate domain when you want sustained healing while they output DPS.
- Edgar is more defensive/supportive here — his heals let DPS stay active inside his Ultimate domain.
- Blossom teams benefit from Edgar's healing and the Charge generation tools he provides.
Skill Priority
Weight of Knowledge (Support Skill)
Support-skill damage increase helps when you switch to Edgar frequently; useful but not urgent to upgrade.
Combat Practice (Basic Attack)
Not a priority — Edgar is used primarily for healing/support rather than basic attacks.
Finnegan's Wake (Ultimate)
Places a healing domain that heals allies inside it over time while dealing damage. Upgrade after Skill to improve healing and damage.
Wild Current (Skill)
Primary source of Edgar's healing and damage. Channel to heal the lowest-HP ally; hold longer for stronger healing — upgrade first.
Awakening Priority
One of the Eibon Detectives
Greatly improves healing on low-health allies; ideal first pick for emergency heals.
Visitor from Planet Curiosity
Upgrades Edgar's Ultimate to apply a DEF boost to allies in range, increasing team survivability.
Intern Anomaly
Caps Wild Current's cooldown extension to 3s so you can channel for longer without excessive cooldown ramping.
Skilled Strategist
Increases Skill damage so Edgar can contribute more DPS while healing.
Guardian of the Antique Shop's Light
Raises Edgar's Max HP, boosting his healing potential and survivability.
Anomaly-Loving Observer
Grants Keys of Truth when teammates cast Support Skills — each key extends Edgar's Ultimate by 1s. Take this after unlocking his Passive Unchanging Warmth.
How to Play
Edgar channels his Skill to heal the lowest-HP ally; use his Ultimate to create a healing domain so your DPS can stay active while healed. He excels in Charge teams where his passive quickly fills an ally's Ultimate.
Rotations
- 1 1) Hold Skill to channel and heal the ally with the lowest HP.
- 2 2) Hold Edgar's Ultimate until you need to heal your Main or Sub-DPS while they remain in the field.
- 3 3) Time Charge triggers (Gentle Edge) to fully charge an ally's Ultimate every ~30s when possible.
Tips
- Hold the Skill button to increase heal amount — but be ready to dodge since you're stationary while channeling.
- Save Ultimate to place the healing domain under a high-value DPS so they can keep dealing damage while being healed.
- Use Edgar in Charge team comps to instantly fill ally Ultimates via his passive (Gentle Edge), but remember the 30s disable after use.
