Hotta Studio and Perfect World dropped a music collaboration announcement during the NTE Launch Preview Special Program, roughly an hour and five minutes into the stream. Two tracks from Atlus’s beloved RPG series are on their way: “Beneath the Mask” and “Wake Up Your Hero.” No characters from Persona 5 Royal or Persona 5: The Phantom X will appear in the game — this one is strictly audio.

The approach mirrors what Wuthering Waves did in its own Persona 5 music crossover — that game let players hear songs from Royal and The Phantom X through its Archive of Melodies and Heart Radio Channel, alongside a motorbike livery. For NTE, the integration feels more natural because the walkman and car radio are built into everyday movement and exploration. It gives players a reason to keep the radio on.

Several open questions surround the collaboration. Hotta Studio did not give a release date for the tracks, saying only that they will come “eventually.” The phrasing suggests a post-launch addition, but that’s not confirmed.
