A Tier TierChiz Build Guide
Cosmos on-field DPS who scales with Grain. Chiz spins her Skill to consume Grain for damage, recovers Grain via Basic Attacks, and uses her Ultimate to temporarily refill Grain and boost Skill damage. High ceiling once you master Grain management.
Strengths
- High sustained Cosmos damage when Grain is positive
- Can chain Skill + Basic Attacks for continuous output (hold Skill to spin)
- Very strong with the right Arc and Cartridge (big Cosmos DMG multipliers)
- Module bonus and Awakening options further amplify Cosmos damage
Weaknesses
- Kit requires learning Grain management (can be confusing at first)
- Top Arc (Contemplative Cat) needs a lot of Fons (1,000,000) to hit full value
- Holding Skill into negative Grain reduces damage — risky if mismanaged
Best Arcs
Mammon — increases Cosmos DMG by 2.5% per 100,000 Fons held (up to 10 stacks, +25% base).
"Bopp" — increases damage dealt by 18% for 10s after casting Support Skill (once per 20s).
Huggy Vines — restores wearer HP by 12% upon defeating an enemy (once per 20s).
Best Cartridge
Epic (2): Cosmos DMG +10%. Legendary (4): After casting Ultimate, ignore 25% of enemies' DEF for 20s.
Best Main Stat: CRIT Rate/DMG
- Chiz benefits from either CRIT Rate or CRIT DMG — prefer CRIT Rate if you lack Rate to improve consistency.
- She already gets significant Cosmos DMG from modules/awakening, so focus cartridges on crit stats.

Substat Priority
- This layout completes Lost Radiance's 4-piece effect and maximizes Cosmos DMG from the bonus module.
- Prioritize ATK% and DMG substats, and then CRIT Rate for consistency.
Best Teams
Charge-focused team that uses both Anima and Lakshana synergies to accelerate cycles and let Chiz maximize Ultimate and Skill windows. Chiz acts as the on-field Cosmos DPS while sub-DPS and supports set up Charge/Esper Cycles.

Primary on-field Cosmos DPS; manages Grain and times Ultimate to maximize damage.
Hathor
Sub-DPS
Charge enabler / Wave damage; pairs well to help Chiz reach Ultimate faster.
Jiuyuan
Sub-DPS
Primary Sub-DPS option for stable damage before Chiz enters.
Adler
Support
Provides shields to keep Chiz alive during her combo.
Alternatives
Use Sub-DPS rotations first to build Esper and, when ready, swap into Chiz for her Skill-heavy window.
Spam Chiz Skill + weave Basic Attacks to consume and recover Grain; use Ultimate when Grain is about to deplete to gain temporary Grain and damage boost.
If Charge doesn't trigger, fallback to Blossom or Remora cycle focus — Chiz still performs well in Blossom.
- Charge is the ideal team but harder to assemble; Blossom is the more accessible alternative for DPS.
- Adler is chosen primarily for shields to protect Chiz through her spins and Ultimate.
Skill Priority
Temporary Entry (Support Skill)
Useful but lowest priority to level; can interact with Arc/Team synergies.
Zero-Sum Game (Ultimate)
Major damage window and temporarily resets Grain to 15,000; use to extend Skill uptime and trigger cartridge Legendary effects.
Exiled Swordplay (Basic Attack)
Important for recovering Grain after spins; level alongside Ultimate to increase overall damage throughput.
Pink Paws Priority Principe (Skill)
Main source of Chiz's damage; level first. Spinning Skill consumes Grain for damage and can be held for continuous spins.
Awakening Priority
To Riceball, Bandage, Fons
Increases Grain acquisition efficiency so Chiz fills Grain faster — take first to improve uptime.
If There Were No Rainy Days
Increases chance Grain prices rise when using Ultimate — improves damage after Ultimate; take second.
Blank Diary Pages
Fills Chiz's Grain storage on entering combat — strengthens opening combo; pick third.
Thirty-Three Days
Boosts Bonus Cosmos DMG from Grain, increasing overall damage output.
Sun, Sun... speak to me!
Increases Grain storage capacity; useful after you have multiple Grain-fill methods.
Fireworks in Silence
Grants passive Grain production while Grain is positive; quality-of-life/late pick.
How to Play
Chiz builds and spends Grain to scale Cosmos damage. Enter after supports/sub-DPS have applied damage, spam Skill while weaving Basic Attacks to recover Grain, then use Ultimate when Grain is low to reset it temporarily and extend your damage window.
Rotations
- 1 Sample Full Rotation: Adler Skill → Jiuyuan Skill → Chiz Skill (swap triggers Blossom) → Chiz Ultimate → (Chiz Skill → Basic Attack x2) ×3 → Hathor Skill → Chiz Skill (swap triggers Remora/Charge) → Chiz Ultimate → (Chiz Skill → Basic Attack x2) ×3 → Jiuyuan Ultimate
- 2 Standard: Use Ultimate to refresh Grain, then spam Skill + Basic Attacks in repeat loops; swap out when Ultimate ends to reset rotation.
Tips
- Make Chiz the last (or late) entry in a rotation with an Esper Cycle ready so her Ultimate returns faster.
- Hold Skill to spin continuously, but watch Grain — going negative reduces damage output.
- Use Basic Attacks between Skill casts to recover Grain and sustain more spins.
- Ultimate resets Grain to 15,000 for a limited time — use it to chain additional Skill spins safely.
