Typhoeus is leaving the standard pool — here’s why Arknights: Endfield’s Winter Hunt banner matters

If you miss Typhoeus during Arknights: Endfield’s Winter Hunt banner, you won’t get another shot for a long time. The 6-star operator will be removed from the pool after three Chartered Headhunting banners cycle through, and she won’t appear in Basic Headhunting. That makes this limited-time event — running alongside the Dreamscape of Wind and Snow update — a tough call for anyone managing a tight stock of Oroberyls and HH Permits.

The banner is live now. You need to finish the main mission Chapter I Process I: Break the Siege before you can pull, and everything ends on September 30, 2026, at 11:59 server time. Typhoeus is the Rate-UP 6-star, but she’s not the only operator who can show up. The full pool of 6-stars includes Liino, Arcane, Ember, Lifeng, Ardelia, Last Rite, and Pogranichnik.

How the pull mechanics work (and what doesn’t carry over)

Three reward systems track your attempts on this banner, and each one behaves differently. Know the rules before you spend.

Urgent Recruitment triggers after 30 headhunting attempts. You get a free 10-pull, but those 10 pulls don’t count toward the next guarantee or toward the other reward milestones. They also don’t carry over to future banners — use them or lose them.

Headhunting Dossier appears at 60 attempts. It automatically converts into 10 special HH Permits for the next Chartered Headhunting banner. Those permits expire when that banner ends, so there’s a time limit on using them too.

Token Tribute gives you a Token of Typhoeus every 240 attempts. That’s a direct way to guarantee her if you’re willing to commit the resources.

Three events running alongside the banner

The Fletched Irontip Sign-In Event is the easiest way to get free pulls. Log in for seven days and you collect Fletched Irontip HH Permits — five total. Miss a day and you lose that day’s reward, so set a reminder.

The Combat Drills Trial Event lets you test Typhoeus in a preset team before you commit. Clear the stage and you get 100 Oroberyls, an Arsenal Defense Crate (which gives a Fully Artificed Level 60 Gear Set tailored for the trial operator), and a Mark of Perseverance. It’s a good way to see how she handles in combat.

The AIC Quota Exchange has limited-time deals — including another five Fletched Irontip HH Permits. Check the Acquisition Center to see what else is on offer.

What Arsenal Tickets get you

Every headhunting attempt earns Arsenal Tickets, regardless of whether you hit the featured operator. You spend them at the Acquisition Center’s Arsenal Exchange. The prices are:

  • 6-star operator: 2,000 tickets
  • 5-star operator: 200 tickets
  • 4-star operator: 20 tickets

Even the pulls that don’t land Typhoeus contribute something to your account. That softens the sting of a miss, at least a little.

Should you pull or hold?

The answer depends on your roster and your patience. Here’s a breakdown.

Pull if:

  • Your team needs a strong 6-star and Typhoeus fits a hole you’ve been trying to fill.
  • You’re a collector. Limited operators don’t come back often, and this is your only window before she rotates out of the Chartered Headhunting pool.
  • You have enough currency to reach the 60-pull milestone so you don’t waste the Dossier progress.

Skip if:

  • You’re saving for a future banner or a specific operator who fits your setup better.
  • Your current squad already covers what Typhoeus does.
  • You are free-to-play and prefer stockpiling resources until you can guarantee a target.

One catch worth repeating: pity does not carry over from Winter Hunt to other banners. If you’re close to pity on a future Chartered Headhunting banner, it may be smarter to wait and let that progress carry forward there instead.

Your pre-pull checklist

  • Clear Chapter I Process I to unlock the banner.
  • Log in every day during the Fletched Irontip event so you don’t miss those permits.
  • Play the Combat Drills stage for free Oroberyls and the gear crate.
  • Visit the AIC Quota Exchange and grab any discounted permits you want.
  • Decide your pull cap before September 30, 2026, and stick to it.
