ZZZ 3.2 brings Claret and the Armorer specialty on September 8 — full maintenance schedule
Zenless Zone Zero is about to get its second brand-new specialty in three patches, and the first one to carry an actual name: Armorer. Version 3.2 drops Claret, an Electric-Armorer Agent, into the roster on September 8, 2026, and if the pattern holds, team compositions in the Hollows are about to shift. The Armorer class follows the Wind attribute’s introduction in 3.0 with Velina, meaning HoYoverse is still in the middle of reshaping how players build squads for endgame content. Whether that’s a reason to pull or a reason to wait depends on what the theorycrafters find in Claret’s kit after launch.
When does 3.2 go live?
Servers come down for five hours of maintenance starting at 6:00 PM ET on September 8. Once they come back up at 11:00 PM ET, the patch is available immediately. The full version runs for six weeks and closes on October 20, 2026 (ET). Here is the maintenance schedule across the major time zones:

Phase 1: Claret’s debut and Nangong Yu’s return
The first half of 3.2 pairs Claret (Electric-Armorer) with a rerun of Nangong Yu (Ether-Stun). Claret is the first Agent to use the Armorer specialty, which means nobody knows exactly how she fits into existing teams until players get their hands on her. That alone makes her a risky pull for anyone who prefers proven units. But for players who lack a strong Electric option, the gamble might pay off.
There are no featured A-Rank Agents this time. The game now lets you customize the A-Rank rate-up, so HoYoverse stopped listing specific four-stars on banners.
Phase 2: Roxy and Promeia
The second half of 3.2 brings Roxy to her first banner alongside a rerun of Promeia. Roxy’s element and role have not been detailed yet, which is unusual this close to launch. Given how recent patches have stacked their second-phase units, she will probably be strong. Promeia’s return matters for anyone who skipped her original banner back in 2.8.
What to do before maintenance
Time-limited events expire when the servers go down. Finish them first, then spend down any leftover energy. If you plan to pull for Claret, stock Polychrome and Master Tapes now. Check your Signal Search pity counter, too. If you are close to a guaranteed S-Rank, wait for the new banner rather than burning pity on the current one.
What to do after the patch lands
- Update the game and grab the maintenance compensation from your in-game mailbox.
- Open the new banner and commit to a pull plan before you start spending.
- Play through any new story content. It is the fastest way to earn Polychrome without spending.
- Read Claret’s full kit and start mapping out her build and team options.
Unconfirmed speculation about the Armorer specialty
This has not been confirmed and could change before or after launch. Some players think the Armorer class will introduce a new shield or defense mechanic. HoYoverse has not said anything about that. The speculation exists because the name “Armorer” suggests a protective role, but the actual kit could go in a completely different direction.
