Tangtang—endgame sub dps

This endgame build turns Tangtang into a strong sub-DPS and debuffer. The Brigand's Calling weapon and Bonekrusha gear set both feed her Whirlpool-to-Waterspout sequence, letting her apply Arts Susceptibility frequently while dealing respectable Cryo damage. The LYNX Slab off-piece maximizes her main stats, and the overall rotation lets her contribute meaningful damage during her own skill rotations while also amplifying her team's Arts damage.

Brigand's Calling is the best-in-slot weapon because it boosts Tangtang's Detonate and Attack/Agility stats while applying an Arts susceptibility-like debuff to enemies, increasing party-wide Arts damage.

The Bonekrusha gear set rewards casting Combo Skill before Battle Skill, which matches Tangtang's intended Whirlpool setup and Waterspout conversion very well.

Home Longing is a solid alternative for personal Cryo damage but lacks the team debuff, and Opus: The Living or Long Road are weaker budget picks that should only be used when Brigand's Calling is unavailable.

The Bonekrusha set converts a combo skill cast into a big bonus on the next battle skill, so the Whirlpool into Waterspout rotation gets a large payoff.
Use LYNX Slab as the off-piece because its main attribute percent gain outperforms the extra Battle Skill DMG from a second Bonekrusha Mask.
Do not chase a third piece for the set; the Battle Skill DMG bonus saturates and the off-piece provides more overall value.
Brigand's Calling also applies an Arts DMG Taken debuff, making the whole team's Arts burst stronger, not just Tangtang's own damage.

Tangtang—early game sub dps

This early game build focuses on making Tangtang a serviceable sub-DPS while keeping her utility intact. Opus: The Living boosts her Arts damage and Agility, while the Roving MSGR set adds a large flat Agility bonus to her main attacking stat. Although the set's secondary effect favors Physical damage, the stat stick nature of Agility is still enough to outperform other early options, giving new players a smooth transition into her powerful endgame setup.

Opus: The Living is chosen for early game because it boosts Arts DMG and Agility, two stats that directly increase Tangtang's sub-DPS output.

The Roving MSGR set gives a generous flat Agility bonus, which is more valuable to Tangtang than the conditional damage bonuses of other early sets.

Long Road is listed as a cheaper alternative; it sacrifices some support potential but can still deal reasonable damage when better weapons are unavailable.

Wulfgard—endgame dps

This endgame build focuses on maximizing Wulfgard's single-target Heat burst. The core loop is to apply Combustion, gain Scorching Fangs, and then immediately cast Thermite Tracers to consume the reaction for a massive extra hit. Hot Work and Bonekrusha stack Heat DMG and Arts Intensity so both his reaction damage and his skill damage stay high. It is a straightforward burst DPS setup that rewards good reaction timing but is limited by its single-target nature.

Rational Farewell is chosen because its Pursuit effect grants a large ATK buff that Wulfgard can reliably trigger with his Combo Skill, making it easy to keep up in fights.

Hot Work is the natural set for a Combustion DPS: it raises Arts Intensity and grants a huge Heat DMG spike whenever Wulfgard applies Combustion, exactly lining up with his combo loop.

Bonekrusha is the best glove off-piece because it matches the Strength/Agility stat profile and adds extra Heat DMG to both his normal skills and his Combustion procs.

If you don't have Rational Farewell, Clannibal and Wedge are acceptable damage options, while Long Road is a budget 4-star pick for early progression.

Hot Work increases Arts Intensity and gives a +50% Heat DMG bonus after applying Combustion, which directly boosts Wulfgard's DoT and skill damage.
Using Bonekrusha Wristband as the off-piece adds extra Heat DMG and pairs well with the set's stat focus on Strength and Agility.
Some players prefer MI Security gear for pure Battle Skill damage, especially if they feel Hot Work's Arts Intensity doesn't benefit Wulfgard enough because Combustion is often consumed quickly.
Clannibal can work as an alternative but forces you to carefully wait for Combustion to tick before consuming it, adding extra micromanagement.
