Kuro Games crowns 55 winners in Wuthering Waves fan art event

Kuro Games has named 55 winners across five prize tiers in its latest Wuthering Waves community art event. The company spread the recognition wide, with 20 artists taking the fifth-place tier alone. That scale suggests a deliberate choice: rather than picking a handful of winners, Kuro Games opted to celebrate a large slice of its creative community.

First and second place

The five first-place artists are @Azipou_, @Jupito_b, @valtearart, @yirin3617, and @yoshi_houndbell. Five more took second place: @HanasawaHsu, @mae_otokeshi, @Nick_____123, @Peony_f4, and @Toki_0356.

Third, fourth, and fifth place

Theme, judging, and response

The event, called “Lamplight in Mirage, Sword’s Resolve in Heart,” asked participants to create artwork based on the game’s themes of illusion and determination. Kuro Games accepted entries through Twitter, Discord, and the official Wuthering Waves forums. The company judged submissions on creativity, how well they matched the theme, and artistic quality.

Kuro Games said in a statement: “Your dedication and creativity have brought the world of Wuthering Waves to life in new and inspiring ways.”

On Reddit, a discussion about the results picked up more than 500 upvotes. Some users praised the variety of styles among the winners. Others questioned whether the judging criteria favored certain types of art over others. The conversation stayed respectful, with many noting that the overall quality of submissions made picking winners difficult.

Past and future events

This is the second fan art event Kuro Games has run for Wuthering Waves. The first, “Unfading Melody,” followed a similar format. The company has not announced whether a third event is in the works.

Some players have speculated that winning entries could influence future in-game content or character designs. Kuro Games has not commented on that possibility.
