A TierBaicang Build Guide
Baicang is an Incantation main DPS who deals large damage from multiple skill sources and his Ultimate. His kit is versatile and can output both burst and sustained DoT, but requires precise combos, has HP-cost mechanics (with some Arcs) and a moveset that can feel clunky, keeping him at A-tier.
Strengths
- Huge Incantation damage from multiple sources (skill, Ultimate, DoT)
- Versatile combos that cover single-target and AoE
- Strong self-sustain in Ultimate via Bless healing; good solo potential
Weaknesses
- Core combos are somewhat difficult to execute reliably
- Moveset and dodge-based inputs can feel clunky
- Camellia Society Arc costs HP each activation — needs healer or sustain
Best Arcs
Silent Garden: provides consistent ATK and CRIT DMG buffs and an on-use effect that consumes current HP to randomly perform high Incantation damage attacks. Strong consistency for Baicang's damage windows.
Tidal Ascension: grants 10% ATK, 10% DEF, and 10% HP when team has ≥3 different Esper Types — good alternative for raw ATK scaling.
Best Cartridge
Epic (2): Incantation DMG +10%. Legendary (4): +6% ATK stacks when nearby enemy takes Incantation DMG (up to 6 stacks).
Best Main Stat: CRIT DMG or Incantation DMG Bonus
- CRIT DMG is the general go-to (keeps a healthy 1:2 ratio while maintaining consistency).
- Incantation DMG Bonus is best for min-maxing but requires good substats across Cartridge & Modules.

Perform support rotation (shielder → buffer(s) → subs) before swapping to Baicang so his Ultimate window is maximized.
Prefer Scorch cycle for sustained DoT while Baicang remains on-field.
Baicang should go last in team rotation to take full advantage of buffs and triggered conditions.
- Sakiri prioritized to maximize Baicang damage; Haniel is a viable alternative if you want to enable Discord cycle.
- Bring a shielder/mitigator (Adler) and/or healer if using Camellia Society Arc to offset HP cost.
Skill Priority
Judgment of Autumn (Ultimate)
Highest priority. Provides major burst DMG, passive DoT and amplifies Baicang's existing damage; key to his DPS windows.
Generous Guidance (Skill)
Main source of his damage and combo core. Max this early along with the Ultimate.
Walk the Talk (Basic Attack)
Used often in combos and to charge Bless for HP recovery during Ultimate. Level as a secondary priority.
Break Time Over (Support Skill)
Provides an additional Incantation DoT tick. Lower priority since Baicang is proactive rather than passive.
Awakening Priority
White Aspect
Top pick: grants a free +30% CRIT Rate during Ultimate, significantly boosting damage consistency.
Yo, Captain!
Quality-of-life: boosts Silence damage and reduces Skill cooldown when Objurgate triggers; strong second pick.
In Honor of Moonlight
Extends Ultimate duration (12s → 16s), reducing downtime between DPS windows; take third.
Or Perhaps Blessings
Heals to counteract Arc HP cost—very useful with Camellia Society when available.
Curses Spoken Into Being
Increases Power Word generation limit—useful as a prerequisite for other effects.
Soul Caller
Grants up to ~24% bonus ATK when Power Words are generated; situational but synergistic with A3.
How to Play
Baicang is a long-field Incantation DPS who should enter after the team's support/buffer rotation. Use dodge-based basic attacks to access special Basic Attacks (Formless / Unrestrained Words) which open his enhanced Skill forms (Silenced Thought single-target or Such Crime AoE). Cast Ultimate when you can hit Silence/Objurgate to add extra damage instances and use basic-attack strings to heal via Bless.
Rotations
- 1 Prerequisite team rotation: Shielder/Mitigation → Buffer Skill → Buffer Ultimate → Sub-DPS Skill → Sub-DPS Ultimate → Swap to Baicang
- 2 AoE combo: Skill → Basic Attack → Hold Basic Attack → Alt Skill (AoE) → Ultimate → Basic Attack x3 → Dodge Attack → Skill when available
- 3 Single-target combo: Skill → Basic Attack → Standard Dodge → Alt Skill (Single-Target) → Ultimate → Basic Attack x3 → Dodge Attack → Skill when available
Tips
- Go last in rotation so supports and subs set up buffs/conditions for Baicang's Ultimate.
- Use dodge+movement for Formless Words (short-range cone) or dodge without movement for Unrestrained Words (longer standing shots); both open enhanced Skill forms.
- Silenced Thought (dodge then Skill) applies Silence → extra single-target damage during Ultimate (great vs bosses).
- Such Crime (hold basic then Skill) summons an AoE and applies Objurgate → extra AoE damage during Ultimate (great vs groups).
- During Ultimate, land 3 basic attacks to charge Bless and heal (every 3 basics heals ~5% HP); use offensive dodge resets to continue attacking.
