Xiao's optimal rotation: Skill → Skill → Burst → plunge combo.
Single‑target plunge combos:
• Normal Attack → Charged Attack → high plunge (no collision possible).
• Normal Attack → Charged Attack → low plunge (collision only on low plunge).
• High plunge spam (collision possible on high plunge).
Multi‑target: high plunge spam.

Xiao is a Hypercarry centered on plunge attacks. His expensive Burst requires high Energy Recharge or an Anemo battery like Sucrose, C6 Faruzan, or Xianyun.

Regarding Weapon Choices:
Calamity Queller: Performs best in teams lacking Bennett or Xianyun.
Crimson Moon's Semblance: A stat stick with high base ATK and CRIT Rate. Its passive activates via a charged attack at Burst start, usable with no healing or only Bennett's.
Vortex Vanquisher: Best used without a shield; slightly better with a shield or without Xianyun or Bennett.
Skyward Spine and Favonius Lance: Significantly better in teams with very high Energy Recharge requirements.
Blackcliff Pole: With Bennett, performs similarly to Calamity Queller. Passive is unreliable but can slightly boost ranking when active.
Lithic Spear: Ranking assumes 1 stack. Performance scales with refinements and stacks. At R5, matches Blackcliff Pole (1 stack) and Calamity Queller (2 stacks).
Missive Windspear [R5]: If passive triggers reliably, performs near Blackcliff Pole.
Prospector's Drill [R5]: With a reliable healer, performs similarly to Skyward Spine.

Regarding Artifact Sets:
Marechaussee Hunter (4): Outperforms Vermillion Hereafter (4) with Bennett or Xianyun. Difficult to build with a CRIT Rate weapon; other sets may be better.
Long Night's Oath (4): Strong alternative but not recommended to farm due to inefficient domain and team/skill-dependent performance.
Desert Pavilion Chronicle (4): Requires a charged attack at Burst start. With low base ATK weapon and Bennett, performs near Vermillion Hereafter (4). Not recommended to farm this domain for Xiao.
