Tangtang—endgame sub dps

This endgame setup pushes Tangtang's personal damage while keeping her debuff role intact. Brigand's Calling supplies both a self-damage boost through Suppression and an Arts damage-taken debuff on enemies, which stacks with the Arts Susceptibility she applies through multiple Waterspouts. The Bonekrusha set is built around her natural rotation: a Combo Skill cast grants stacks that increase the damage of her next Battle Skill, exactly the skill that converts Whirlpools into Waterspouts. LYNX Slab is slotted as the off-piece because its main attribute percentage boost is worth more than completing the set. The result is a sub-DPS who contributes solid AoE Cryo damage while multiplying the output of any Arts carry she is paired with.

Brigand's Calling wins because it adds a Suppression effect that raises her own damage while also marking enemies with an Arts DMG Taken debuff, which compounds with her own Arts Susceptibility.

Bonekrusha's effect is timed to the exact sequence she already wants: Combo Skill first for Whirlpool stacks, then Battle Skill to convert them into Waterspouts for extra Battle Skill damage.

LYNX Slab replaces the fourth Bonekrusha piece because its main attribute percentage increase outperforms the diminishing extra Battle Skill DMG Bonus from the full set.

Home Longing, Opus: The Living, and Long Road all raise her personal numbers but drop the team-wide Arts debuff, so their value falls behind once whole-rotation team damage is counted.

Essence priority for the weapon runs Detonate first, then Attack Boost and Agility Boost.
Bonekrusha rewards casting the Combo Skill before the Battle Skill, matching her natural Whirlpool into Waterspout order.
The set grants a flat Attack increase plus stacking Battle Skill damage after a Combo Skill cast.
Roving MSGR-style physical sets are not worth running here since almost all of her output is Arts damage.

Tangtang—early game sub dps

Best in Slot

The early game build is a straightforward damage setup for players who have not yet farmed endgame gear. Opus: The Living raises Arts damage and Agility, keeping Tangtang's personal output respectable, and its Infliction priority rounds out the weapon's usefulness. Roving MSGR is chosen mainly because its set effect grants a large flat bonus to Agility, the attribute her entire kit scales from; the set's secondary Physical DMG bonus is largely wasted on a Cryo Caster, but the attribute gain still outperforms alternative early sets. Players should treat this as a temporary configuration and move into the Bonekrusha plus Brigand's Calling build once those items are available.

Opus: The Living is chosen at this stage because it directly boosts Arts damage and Agility, reinforcing the stat her whole kit scales from.

Roving MSGR is picked for its big Agility increase rather than its set bonus, since her damage and debuff uptime both benefit from that attribute.

Other early options such as Mordvolt Insulation were considered, but their attribute contribution falls short of Roving MSGR's Agility boost at this progression stage.

This build is a stepping stone, not a final answer; its purpose is to keep her contributing damage while farming toward the endgame pieces.
