ZZZ 3.3 Brings Discord Linking Back, With 30 Polychromes for the Effort

Your Discord friends are about to learn a lot about your Zenless Zone Zero habits without you saying a word. Version 3.3 reintroduces Discord account linking from inside the game, and the whole setup takes less than a minute. The one-time reward is 30 Polychromes, and it is not reserved for new linkers. Proxies who went through the old system can claim it again after re-linking.

HoYoverse retired the previous Discord integration on October 14, 2025, so this is a fresh start rather than a small tweak. The new flow lives entirely in the game client, and it doubles as a live progress feed on your Discord profile.

What linking actually changes

The centerpiece is Rich Presence. Once your HoYoverse account is connected, Discord shows your current game state, like whether you are in menus or in combat, along with the character you are using, your level, and your days active. Desktop users get more. Hover over the game icon and you will see your achievement count, Bangboo owned, and Agents owned.

That turns your presence into a self-updating progress card. Friends see where you are in the game, and you never touch a settings menu again after the initial link.

How to connect the accounts

1. Open Zenless Zone Zero and go to Options.
2. Head to Account, then User Center, then Link Account.
3. Follow the prompts and authorize Discord.
4. Your activity starts showing on your Discord profile right away.

Unlinking is just as easy and happens from the same menu. The process is fully reversible, so the only real cost is that basic game stats become visible to your Discord contacts, and you can pull that back whenever you like.

Grabbing the 30 Polychromes

With the link live, open the account linking reward page through the in-game link or the official announcement and collect 30 Polychromes. Proxies who used the old system before it shut down must complete the new linking flow to qualify again. HoYoverse has not given the reward an expiry date, so claiming it early is the safe move.

What died with the old system

The legacy Discord linking and status display stopped functioning on October 14, 2025. Rewards you already claimed from that version stay in your account, but the old integration is gone for good. What HoYoverse has confirmed next

Two additions are in development: Linked Roles and a Game Stats Widget. Neither has a release date or a detailed description in official materials, and HoYoverse has not stated specifics. Treat community theories as unconfirmed and subject to change.

Should you bother

For most players, yes. A minute of setup buys 30 Polychromes, a small but free step toward your next pull. Free-to-play accounts get the most value, and there is no downside beyond sharing basic in-game stats.

Privacy-conscious players can tighten their Discord settings before linking. The integration only surfaces in-game data, never personal account details, and unlinking cuts it off entirely.
