A TierBaicang Build Guide
Baicang is an A-tier Incantation DPS who deals damage from multiple sources in his kit. His versatile combos make him a strong Main DPS, but his moveset can feel clunky and his combos are harder to execute than other top-tier DPS options.
Strengths
- Deals a large amount of Incantation DMG from multiple sources
- Versatile combos for both single-target and AoE situations
- Self-sufficient with good solo potential
- Can trigger Scorch and Discord team cycles effectively
Weaknesses
- Main combos can be difficult to execute
- Moveset can feel clunky compared to other DPS
- Camellia Society requires a healer to offset HP cost
- Long field time means supports must be rotated around him
Best Arcs

Increases CRIT DMG by 12% for 5s when the wearer's HP is reduced without taking damage, up to 4 stacks. Consumes 5% of current HP and randomly performs one of two Incantation DMG attacks.

Grants the wearer 10% ATK, 10% DEF, and 10% HP when the team has at least 3 different Esper Types.
Best Cartridge
Epic (2): Incantation DMG +10%. Legendary (4): Increases wearer's ATK by 6% when a nearby enemy takes Incantation DMG from the Team, up to 6 stacks. Each stack lasts 10s. Effect remains active when off-field.
Best Main Stat: CRIT DMG or Incantation DMG Bonus
- CRIT DMG is the general go-to for consistent 1:2 crit ratio
- Incantation DMG Bonus is better for raw damage but requires good substats
Module Layout
Required Modules
Bonus: Type III (+7.5% CRIT Rate)
Total Bonus: +30% CRIT Rate
Substat Priority
- Activates Crimson: Twin Butterflies' 4-piece effect while maximizing the bonus module
- Prioritize the listed substats for damage consistency
Best Teams
Baicang acts as the main Incantation DPS, dealing burst and sustained damage. Daffodill rotates in to break weaknesses and trigger Scorch. Sakiri provides general buffs, while Adler shields the team. Alternates adjust the team for Discord or extra crowd control.

Baicang
Main DPS
Primary damage dealer, uses long combos and Ultimate to burst.

Daffodill
Sub-DPS
Breaks enemy weaknesses and triggers Scorch.

Sakiri
Buffer
Generalist buffer that prioritizes Baicang's damage.

Adler
Sub-DPS/Support
Provides shields to keep the team alive.
Let supports use their skills first, then swap to Baicang for his long on-field DPS window.
Use Daffodill to trigger Scorch, which synergizes well with Baicang's long field time.
During Baicang's Ultimate, focus on landing skill-based combos and Basic Attacks to maximize damage and self-healing.
- Scorch is preferred over Discord due to Baicang's long field time and DoT synergy.
- Use Haniel or Fadia if you want to run Discord instead of Scorch.
Skill Priority
Walk the Talk (Basic Attack)
Used frequently during combos but is more of an addon to his burst rotations. Level at secondary priority.
Break Time Over (Support Skill)
Deals one additional instance of Incantation DMG over time. Level last since Baicang is proactive rather than passive.
Judgment of Autumn (Ultimate)
Provides considerable burst DMG, passive DoT, and improves all of Baicang's existing damage. Max first.
Generous Guidance (Skill)
Baicang's main source of damage and versatile in many situations. Max second alongside Ultimate.
Awakening Priority
White Aspect
Free 30% increase to CRIT Rate during his Ultimate. Best first pickup.
Yo, Captain!
Adds bonus damage to Silence and reduces Skill cooldown when Objugate is triggered. Quality-of-life upgrade.
In Honor of Moonlight
Extends Ultimate duration from 12s to 16s, reducing downtime between damage windows.
Or Perhaps Blessings
Heals Baicang for the HP cost of his best-in-slot Arc during Ultimate. Pairs well with Camellia Society.
Curses Spoken Into Being
Increases Power Word generation limit. Useful as a prerequisite for A2 and other synergies.
Soul Caller
Provides up to 24% bonus ATK when Power Words are generated. Best when A3 is also available.
How to Play
Baicang is a high-skill Incantation DPS who relies on dodge attacks and enhanced Skills to set up damage before unleashing his Ultimate. During Ultimate, he needs to land Basic Attacks to stack Bless and heal himself. He has strong solo potential and should go last in team rotations.
Rotations
- 1Prerequisite Team Rotation: Shielder/Mitigation Skill → Buffer Skill → Buffer Ultimate → Sub-DPS Skill → Sub-DPS Ultimate → Swap to Baicang
- 2Baicang AoE Combo: Baicang Skill → Basic Attack → Hold Basic Attack → Alt Skill (AoE) → Ultimate → Basic Attack x3 → Dodge Attack → Skill when available
- 3Baicang Single-Target Combo: Baicang Skill → Basic Attack → Standard Dodge → Alt Skill (Single-Target) → Ultimate → Basic Attack x3 → Dodge Attack → Skill when available
Tips
- Use dodge attacks to access Formless Words and Unrestrained Words for extra projectiles and to open up his enhanced Skills.
- Use Silenced Thought against single targets and Such Crime against groups to apply Silence or Objurgate before Ultimate.
- During Ultimate, enemies below 10% HP (5% for bosses) can be instantly killed.
- Use 3 Basic Attacks during Ultimate to trigger Bless and heal 5% of HP.
- Team him with Anima or Chaos characters to trigger Hexed or Scorch; Scorch is preferred for his long field time.
- Thanks to his self-sufficiency, Baicang can solo content if needed.
