Two 5-Star Banners Hit Wuthering Waves on October 22. Plan Your Pulls Now

Two limited 5-stars, one decision

Wuthering Waves players who have been saving Astrite are about to face a real test. On October 22, 2026, two brand-new 5-Star Resonators go live on separate banners at the same time. Lucilla and Lynae both debut in this cycle, and each brings a signature weapon. Freeze Frame is Lucilla’s, Spectrum Blaster is Lynae’s.

Running two limited 5-Stars in parallel is a rare setup, and it forces a genuine choice for anyone who cannot afford both. The saving grace is the pity system. The 5-Star guarantee counter is shared across banners and carries over, so no pull is ever truly wasted.

At a glance

  • Run dates: October 22, 2026 at 10:00 to November 11, 2026 at 11:59, server time.
  • Featured 5-Stars: Lucilla and Lynae.
  • Boosted 4-Stars: Lumi, Danjin, and Chixia.
  • Featured weapons: Freeze Frame and Spectrum Blaster at 5-Star; Overture, Relativistic Jet, and Amity Accord at 4-Star.
  • Currencies: Radiant Tide for Resonator Convenes, Forging Tide for Weapon Convenes.
  • Pity: a 4-Star is guaranteed every 10 pulls, and 5-Star pity is shared and carries over.
  • Access: Union Level 5, completion of the First Resonance combat trial, or Main Quest Fast Track.

What each banner actually offers

Lucilla on Tomorrow in the Frame

Lucilla appears only on the Tomorrow in the Frame banner, which costs Radiant Tide. Her boosted 4-Stars are Lumi, Danjin, and Chixia. Like every Featured Resonator Convene, her banner shares the 5-Star guarantee counter with the rest of the cycle, and that counter stays until a 5-Star shows up. During the event, her Waveband is available in the Afterglow Coral Store, capped at two.

Lynae on Undefined Spectrum

Lynae gets her own banner, Undefined Spectrum, open for the whole window. She runs with the same boosted 4-Stars and the same pity rules as Lucilla. Her Waveband is also in the Afterglow Coral Store, also limited to two purchases.

The weapons on Absolute Pulsation

Both signature weapons sit on Absolute Pulsation banners and use Forging Tide. Overture, Relativistic Jet, and Amity Accord get boosted 4-Star rates on both. A 5-Star pull on Lucilla’s weapon banner is always Freeze Frame, and on Lynae’s it is always Spectrum Blaster.

Should you pull?

Here is the honest answer. Nobody can say yet. Official materials have not fully detailed either kit, so any meta verdict right now is an educated guess. History says both will occupy specific niches, likely as main or sub-DPS units with their own mechanics. If your roster is missing a strong 5-Star in the element they end up using, one of them may be worth it. Treat that as unconfirmed and subject to change until the full kit reveal.

What to weigh before spending

Because both banners run at once, players who can guarantee only one 5-Star must pick a side. A deep roster can afford to skip both until the kits land, especially if Tower of Adversity or Whimpering Wastes does not demand them. Wait for official reveals before committing.

Weapon banners

Signature weapons in Wuthering Waves typically give their owner a clear power spike. If you plan to invest hard in Lucilla or Lynae, their weapons deserve consideration, mainly for top-end clears. Just remember that weapon pulls burn Forging Tide, a separate currency, so plan ahead. Free-to-play accounts are usually better served pulling Resonators first.

F2P and low-spend advice

Two simultaneous 5-Stars is a rough spot for free-to-play accounts. If your Astrite covers one guarantee, choose the Resonator that fits your existing teams. Pity carries over either way, so pulls on either banner still build toward your next 5-Star. Low-spenders can use the monthly pass or battle pass to stack Radiant Tides, but spreading resources across both banners is a trap.

Team building without official kits

With kits still under wraps, team theory is speculation. The boosted 4-Stars still point in useful directions. Danjin is a Havoc sword user with a high-risk, high-reward style, usually paired with healers or shielders. Chixia is a Fusion pistol user built for quick-swap teams. Lumi is a Spectro broadblade user with supportive capabilities.

If Lucilla turns out to be a Fusion DPS, Chixia plus a support like Verina could make a strong core. If Lynae lands on Havoc, Danjin could sit beside her as a sub-DPS. Consider all of this an educated guess, unconfirmed and subject to change.

For weapons, Freeze Frame and Spectrum Blaster will likely act as stat sticks tuned to their owners. The 4-Star options, Overture, Relativistic Jet, and Amity Accord, are solid fallbacks for anyone skipping signatures.

Trials and store extras during the run

Every boosted Resonator, Lucilla, Lynae, Lumi, Danjin, and Chixia, appears as a Trial Resonator in Ascendant Aces while the banners are live. Completing those challenges pays out rewards, so test every unit before you spend anything. The Afterglow Coral Store also carries Wavebands for both Lucilla and Lynae, two each, which matters for players chasing duplicates.

One last thing worth repeating: whatever you pull on either banner now, the 5-Star guarantee you build will still be waiting on the next one.
