Welcome to our comprehensive Wuthering Waves Characters Tier List. We rank characters based on abilities, strengths, and overall utility to help you excel in the game.
Explanation
Calcharo
Calcharo stands out as the premier Electro Main-DPS unit, capable of unleashing a massive amount of Electro damage through his Skill and Liberation. With the introduction of Yinlin, he has found a perfect sub-DPS partner to elevate his performance to new heights.
Encore
Encore is a top-tier Fusion DPS character who excels at dealing pure damage without any concerns. When she enters the Cosmos Rave state, she becomes a force to be reckoned with, dishing out an insane amount of Fusion DMG. However, her squishy nature and lack of crowd control during this state can be a problem if not managed carefully.
Verina
Verina is a versatile support character who provides healing and buffs to the entire party using her kit. She also periodically unleashes coordinated Spectro attacks that deal damage while healing the active character. Although she lacks Crit Rate and Crit Damage buffs, her overall utility makes her a valuable asset to any team.
Jiyan
Jiyan is a formidable DPS unit who excels at dealing both single-target and AoE damage. His Ultimate ability can group smaller enemies, providing a means of crowd control. While he may not be as effective as top-tier DPS units like Jinhsi in clearing endgame content, Jiyan's consistent damage output makes him a reliable choice.
Rover-Havoc
Rover (Havoc) is a high-damage dealer who excels at activating their Dark Surge state. With high burst damage capability and a powerful Basic Attack, they can clear both single and multiple enemies quickly. Their unique interaction with the Dreamless increases their burst damage potential, making them a valuable asset to any team.
Changli
Changli is a top-tier Main-DPS unit who can deal massive amounts of Fusion damage with her fully-stacked Forte Circuit. She can also self-buff her ATK after using her Ultimate, allowing her to deal even more damage. While she can take on a sub-DPS role, her Main-DPS capabilities are too valuable to be wasted on a secondary role.
Camellya
Camellya is a skilled Havoc DPS unit who excels at dealing far-reaching AoE combos. With high combo damage capability, she can take down enemies quickly. However, her complex kit and lack of a dedicated sub-DPS make her a challenging character to use effectively.
Mortefi
Mortefi is a unique unit who can deal coordinated Fusion attacks even when off-field. This mechanic allows him to deal damage consistently, making him a valuable asset to any team. His value increases even more when the on-field DPS uses Heavy Attacks, which is a common tactic in the game.
Sanhua
Sanhua is one of the best Sub-DPS units in the game, providing Basic Attack DMG Deepen for 14s to the next character who takes the field. She also deals decent damage and relies on detonating ice structures using her Heavy Attacks. Her utility and damage output make her a top choice for any team.
Danjin
Danjin is a great DPS unit for free-to-play players, capable of dealing massive amounts of damage as long as her HP-drain mechanic is managed properly. This can be challenging, especially against tougher enemies, but her high damage output makes her a valuable asset to any team.
Jianxin
Jianxin is a solid unit who can excel as both a Main and Sub-DPS. She can hold her own as a Main-DPS, providing grouping and AoE damage against multiple enemies. Her Outro Skill also buffs Resonance Liberation DMG, making her a great Sub-DPS as well. However, her jack-of-all-trades nature can make her less effective than units with a defined role in the meta.
Rover-Spectro
Rover (Spectro) is a versatile unit who excels as a Sub-DPS, providing great utility and damage output. She can execute time stops with her Outro Skill and deal high-damage Resonance Liberation attacks. However, her lack of a defined role in the meta can make her less effective than units with a pure Main-DPS or Sub-DPS role.
Aalto
Aalto is a decent Sub-DPS unit who can buff Aero DMG while dealing decent damage. However, he is outclassed by other Sub-DPS units like Mortefi, who can deal damage even when off-field.
Yuanwu
Yuanwu is a Sub-DPS unit who can deal coordinated Electro DMG even when off-field. He can also reduce the enemy's Vibration Strength, making him a valuable asset to any team. However, this effect only applies if the enemy is within the circle of effect, which can be easily avoided by mobile enemies.
Baizhi
Baizhi is a pure healer who can burst-heal using her Resonance Skill and Liberation. She can also continuously heal and buff the next character who takes the field for 36s. However, her buffs only apply to the next character, limiting the flow of switching when using Baizhi compared to Verina.
Youhu
Youhu is a healer-support hybrid who can provide multiple buffs and effects in battle. However, her buffs are obtained through a kit-based RNG system, which can be inconsistent and sometimes mess up rotations. Her Outro Skill only buffs the incoming resonator's Coordinated Attack, making her value decrease even more.
Lumi
Lumi is a Sub-DPS unit who can provide Resonance Skill DMG Amplification via her Outro Skill. Her kit is straightforward, with good multipliers for her Forte Circuit and Resonance Liberation. However, her damage tends to fall off when doing Basic Attacks with her two Light Modes.
Lingyang
Lingyang is currently outclassed by his standard 5-star peers, especially those with great AoE damage capabilities. He also lacks a dedicated Glacio support, making his damage subpar compared to other Main-DPS units.
Yangyang
Yangyang is a decent Sub-DPS unit who provides Aero grouping and utility. However, she falls off immediately once better Sub-DPS units are unlocked, which provide DMG buffs and more utility.
Chixia
Chixia is a DPS unit who excels against hoards of enemies due to her mobility and ease of use. She can take on single-target bosses with ease as long as she can reposition and evade properly. However, her benefit decreases when dealing with mobs of enemies, as she can be easily mobbed if not careful.
Taoqi
Taoqi has found a new Sub-DPS role in her team, providing Resonance Skill amplification while dishing quick-switch damage with her Resonance Liberation. However, her split scaling with her Forte and Shields remains a problem, making her less effective than other Sub-DPS units.
