Best Echo Sets for Mortefi
Best — Empyrean Anthem (5-piece) significantly increases Coordinated Attack damage and boosts the active Resonator's ATK on critical hits, which directly amplifies Mortefi's off-field coordinated attacks. To fully utilize this set, Mortefi's S4 Resonance Chain (extended Liberation usage) is recommended.
2nd Best — Moonlit Clouds (5-piece) improves Mortefi's Energy Regen and increases ATK for the next character after Mortefi's Outro Skill, reducing downtime for his Liberation and synergizing with his kit.
3rd Best (2-piece combo) — Using Moonlit Clouds (2-piece) with Molten Rift (2-piece) grants Energy Regen and Fusion DMG bonuses which help Mortefi cast Liberations more often and increase his Fusion-scaling damage.
Mortefi's Best Primary Echo
Hecate
Provides a significant increase in Coordinated Attack damage which synergizes extremely well with Mortefi's Ultimate. Also deals Havoc damage around Mortefi, adding extra passive damage without interfering with casting.
Impermanence Heron
Restores Mortefi's Resonance Energy so he can cast his Ultimate more often and increases the next character's DMG — useful as a semi-support main echo to improve team damage uptime.
Nightmare: Inferno Rider
Good Fusion damage dealer option if using Mortefi as more DPS-focused. Replace with a support-centric Echo later in the game. Use regular Inferno Rider if Nightmare version isn't available.
Inferno Rider
Good Molten Rift option if you haven't unlocked Nightmare: Inferno Rider (Rinascita). Solid choice for Fusion-damage-oriented builds before late-game echoes are available.

Best Teams for Mortefi
Aero Heavy Attack Team
Overview: This composition focuses on buffing Jiyan's overall damage via Mortefi's Heavy Attack DMG buffs while Shorekeeper provides healing and team sustain., 1. Shorekeeper starts the battle and charges both her Resonance Liberation and Concerto Energy until the other Resonator's icons glow., 2. Cast Shorekeeper's Resonance Liberation and switch to Mortefi once his portrait lights up. Shorekeeper's Outro Skill will increase his All-Type DMG Deepen buff and provide passive defensive bonuses., 3. Keep attacking the enemy with Mortefi until his Resonance Liberation is up. Activate Mortefi's Resonance Liberation as soon as you can and then switch to Jiyan to increase the latter's Heavy Attack DMG., 4. Use Jiyan's Resonance Liberation to enter Qingloong Mode. This mode will consider all of his Basic Attacks and Dodge Counters into Heavy Attacks, which will maximize the buff placed on him by Mortefi., 5. Continue to DPS with Jiyan until Concerto Energy is fully charged, then swap back to Shorekeeper to detonate her Stellarealm with her Enhanced Intro Skill., 6. Repeat the steps until the enemy is felled.
Electro Heavy Attack Team
Overview: Mortefi is an excellent sub-DPS for Augusta — he buffs Heavy Attack DMG (which Augusta scales from) and provides off-field Coordinated attacks. Shorekeeper is the preferred support for high DMG buffing and healing, though Verina or Baizhi can substitute., 1. Start with Shorekeeper and go through her internal rotations to build up both her Concerto and Resonance Energy. Then, activate Stellarealm once available and switch out to Mortefi with her Outro., 2. Have Mortefi attack enemies and build up Energy via his Resonance Skill resets. Then, cast his Liberation to provide Augusta with Coordinated Attacks., 3. Activate Mortefi's Echo Skill to get its buffs before switching to Augusta when her Intro is available., 4. As Augusta, perform her Prowess-enhanced Heavy Attacks and then follow it up with her Echo Skill to deal Electro DMG., 5. Cast her Resonance Skill and Liberation, followed by more Heavy Attacks to fill her Ascendancy stacks. Then, perform her 3-attack Resonance Skill combo to get 1 Majesty stack., 6. Once she has 2 Majesty stacks, activate her second Resonance Liberation and enter Sworn Allegiance., 7. During Sworn Allegiance, time is stopped for 7 seconds. Within this period, attack 9 times with Sunborne slashes and cast Everbright Protector afterwards., 8. Once available, switch to Shorekeeper via her Intro Skill to detonate Stellarealm., 9. Repeat until all enemies are defeated.
Mono Fusion Heavy Attack Team
Overview: This Mono Fusion team funnels Fusion DMG and Heavy Attack DMG buffs to Galbrena. Fusion DMG increases overall damage regardless of damage type scaling, making Galbrena benefit greatly. The team is damage-oriented and lacks dedicated sustain (healing/shields), so it requires precise play., 1. Initiate combat with Lupa and cast two instances of her Resonance Skill. Then, perform Liberation to activate Pack Hunt and Glory., 2. Use Foebreaker to deal damage and build up Wolflame stacks with her mid-air attacks. Then, convert it to Wolfaith once full with her Mid-air and Heavy Attacks. Lastly, cast Echo Skill to give Galbrena Afterflame stacks then perform Resonance Skill before switching to Mortefi., 3. Have Mortefi attack enemies and generate Energy via his Resonance Skill resets. Then, cast his Liberation to give Galbrena Coordinated Attacks. Before switching out via his Outro, make sure to cast his Echo Skill first for Afterflame stacks., 4. As Galbrena enters the field, quickly activate her Echo Skill and follow-up with 6 Basic Attacks. Then, cast Resonance Skill once her Forte is full to enter Demon Hypostasis., 5. In Demon Hypostasis, cast Liberation to deal damage and increase her other skills' DMG multipliers. Then, follow this up with 7 Basic Attacks to consume her Forte energy for extra damage., 6. Once her Forte is depleted and her Outro is available, switch back to Lupa., 7. Repeat until there are no enemies left in the field.
Coordinated Attack Team
Overview: This team revolves around Mortefi providing Coordinated Attacks through his Resonance Liberation to support Jinhsi's Incandescence stacks. Verina contributes additional Coordinated Attacks, healing, and team-wide buffs., 1. Use Verina first and execute her Support combo, ending with her Resonance Liberation. Afterwards, swap to Mortefi., 2. Immediately cast Jinhsi's Overflowing Radiance and follow it up with another Resonance Skill attack. Complete her Basic Attack combo up to Stage 4, then cast Illuminous Epiphany to enable Unison (allowing safe off-field swaps without consuming Concerto Energy)., 3. Switch to Mortefi and perform his optimal combos while charging up his Resonance Liberation. Cast it once available to enable his off-field Coordinated Attacks, then switch back to Jinhsi., 4. When Jinhsi is back on the field, stack her Incandescence and increase the damage of Illuminous Epiphany using Mortefi's and Verina's Coordinated Attacks. Cast her Resonance Liberation when available., 5. Switch to Verina again and repeat the rotation until the enemy is defeated.
