What the 4.2 update means for Honkai Star Rail players: Silver Wolf Lv.999, the Path of Elation, and banner timing

Trailblazers face a familiar dilemma: pull on the current banners or stockpile Stellar Jades for what comes next. The answer depends on how much a new Path and a redesigned Silver Wolf appeal to you. Version 4.2 is expected to debut Silver Wolf Lv.999, a five-star Imaginary character on the Path of Elation. That would be a first for Honkai Star Rail. No character has ever run on the Elation path before.

HoYoverse has not confirmed these details yet. The official 4.2 livestream on April 10, 2026 will settle the speculation. Until then, everything about Silver Wolf Lv.999 remains unconfirmed and subject to change.

Current banners: Ashveil and Boothill through April 21

The version 4.1 banner phase runs from March 25 to April 21, 2026. It features two five-star Hunt characters on separate banners.
