Target ~140% Energy Regen on Yangyang to maximize her effectiveness as a sub-DPS / energy battery. After that, prioritize Crit Rate/CRIT DMG and ATK.
Use Bell-Borne Geochelone as the main echo when playing Yangyang as a sub-DPS to provide shields and team survivability.
If you want Yangyang to lean into damage, equip a 5-piece Sierra Gale and use Nightmare: Feilian Beringal as main echo; otherwise use 5-piece Moonlit Clouds for support/ATK buffs for the swap-in character.
Upgrade Resonance Liberation first (highest priority), then Resonance Skill and Forte Circuit. Basic Attack and Intro Skill are the lowest priority for leveling.
Emerald of Genesis is the recommended weapon to more easily reach Energy Regen requirements; Blazing Brilliance is a strong premium alternative. Commando of Conviction, Lunar Cutter, and similar ATK-increasing weapons are viable if you lack the top picks.
Forte mechanic: Yangyang needs to accumulate 3 Melodies to use Stormy Strike / Feather Release (her Forte effects). Use Basic Attacks, Zephyr Song, Resonance Skill hits, or Intro Skill to generate Melodies.

This is an early-game comp focused on Yangyang feeding energy to a Liberation-reliant DPS (Rover). Baizhi serves as the healer and damage buffer. Celestial Light is fine early but should be replaced by Eternal Radiance on Rover as you progress.

Yangyang uses her Outro Skill to feed Resonance Energy to Rover (Spectro) so Rover can charge their Resonance Liberation., General rotation:, 1) Start on Yangyang: charge Concerto Energy until allies' Resonator icons glow. Use Liberation to group enemies and Resonance Skill to deal initial damage, then swap., 2) Switch to Rover (Spectro) when fully charged: use their Intro Skill to deal Spectro DMG. Switching from Yangyang restores Rover's Resonance Energy., 3) When Rover's Resonance Liberation is available, cast it for AoE Spectro DMG, follow with Basic Attacks to charge Forte Gauge, use Resonance Skill, then finish with more Basic Attacks., 4) Swap back to Yangyang once her Intro Skill is charged. If healing is required, switch to Baizhi and use their healing skill., 5) Repeat the cycle until enemies are defeated.
