Jiuyuan is an Anima-based burst DPS who excels at entering combat only when her energy and Rose Pact Bullets are ready. Her quickswap playstyle, frontloaded Ultimate, and Blossom enhancements make her a versatile A-tier DPS and support.
Strengths

Best Arcs
Swallowtail: Increases Anima DMG by 15%. Increases the wearer's Attachment DMG by 10%. Increases the Attachment DMG bonus to 20% for 6s when the wearer casts an Ultimate. Effect does not stack.
Picture Frame: Increases ATK by 20% when the wearer's HP is above 50%; increases DEF by 20% when HP is below 50%.
Noros: Increases wearer's ATK by 12% for 10s when casting a Redirect Skill. Triggers up to once every 20s.
Best Cartridge
Epic (2): Anima DMG +10%. Legendary (4): Increases wearer's CRIT DMG by 8% when a nearby enemy takes Anima DMG from the Team, up to 7 stacks. Each stack lasts 10s. Effect remains active when the character is off-field.
Best Main Stat: CRIT DMG or Cycle Intensity
- CRIT DMG is the safest general-purpose main stat for a quickswap Sub-DPS.
- Cycle Intensity becomes an option when using Jiuyuan in a Blossom team with Anima DPS like Nanally, as it amplifies Blossom damage.

Intel Hunter (Skill)
Mainly used to apply Lethal Rose Pact to enemies; can be leveled later.
Intel Lock-On (Support Skill)
Provides a secondary source of Rose Pact Bullets; level last.
When Secrets Take Shape (Basic Attack)
Used every other rotation to unload Rose Pact Bullets; max second to improve its damage.
Final Reckoning (Ultimate)
The bulk of Jiuyuan's damage; responsible for about 80% of her burst-window output.
Awakening Priority
Intel Superiority
Gives Jiuyuan an 8% DMG increase for every instance of DMG she performs to enemies afflicted by Lethal Rose Pact, effectively raising her Ultimate damage.
Intel Turns Into Blades
Increases the DMG ratio of Lethal Rose Pact and provides healing when Pact Settlement is triggered; a DPS and QoL upgrade.
Strike to Kill
Increases DMG when Pact Settlement is triggered; only usable on later rotations or with Anima teammates who help end combos with improved Rose Pact Bullet DMG.
Know Every Secret
Deals DMG to enemies afflicted by Lethal Rose Pact, but relies on enemies attacking, making it inconsistent when teams weakness-break reliably.
To Know, To Balance
Gives 5-15% ATK bonus when inflicting Lethal Rose Pact on up to 3 enemies; a small but welcome upgrade.
Advantage Established
Deals bonus break damage to the Pact Settlement target when casting Ultimate; low overall contribution.
How to Play
Jiuyuan is a quickswap burst DPS. Open fights with her Skill to group enemies and apply Lethal Rose Pact, then rotate through supports and your main DPS. Return to Jiuyuan when the time is right to expend Rose Pact Bullets and detonate everything with her Ultimate.
Rotations
- 1Standard Rotation: Jiuyuan Skill → Shield/Mitigation Skill → Buffer Skill → Buffer Ultimate → Esper Zero Skill → Switch to DPS and perform rotation → Jiuyuan Ultimate
- 2After the DPS window, swap back to Jiuyuan, use her Ultimate to activate Pact Settlement, then use her Skill to group enemies again.
Tips
- Use Jiuyuan's Skill at the start of fights since Lethal Rose Pact needs time to trigger and lasts 25 seconds.
- Her Skill's pull is deceptively wide and can serve as the team's only grouping tool.
- Lethal Rose Pact continuously devours enemy HP and can explode naturally if you do not trigger Pact Settlement.
- Pair her with Cosmos characters in Blossom teams or Incantation characters in Hexed teams to make the most of her passive.
