Keep Your Progress, Earn Launch Rewards: Arknights: Endfield’s Steam Pioneer Test Is Open for Sign-Ups

If you have been waiting to try Arknights: Endfield on Steam, here is the catch that matters most: whatever you earn during the upcoming Pioneer Test stays with you. No reset. No wipe. That alone sets this trial apart from most pre-launch betas.

The 3D real-time strategy RPG set in the Arknights universe has already gone through several rounds of testing. This one focuses on the Steam version specifically, and it marks a major step toward the full release. Sign-ups opened on August 26, 2026 at 12:00 UTC+8 and run until September 10, 2026 at 13:00 UTC+8.

Not everyone who applies will get in. The developers are hand-picking a limited number of participants through an official survey. You fill out the questionnaire, submit it before the deadline, and wait for a notification email if you are selected. If no email arrives, you did not make the cut. The team recommends the official Discord for real-time updates on recruitment results, and they warn against trusting unofficial sources.

What you earn for playing five days

Log in for five days during the test period and you unlock rewards that carry over to launch. Here is the full list:

  • Oroberyl × 180
  • T-Creds × 16,000
  • Elementary Cognitive Carrier × 15

Oroberyl is the premium currency. One hundred eighty units is not a massive stack, but it is a decent head start for anyone playing without spending. T-Creds cover everyday purchases in the in-game shop. Elementary Cognitive Carriers are tied to operator progression, though players will likely figure out the exact use during the test itself.

Can your PC handle it?

The minimum specs ask for an Intel Core i5-9400F or equivalent, 16 GB of RAM, and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 or equivalent. The recommended setup bumps the CPU to an Intel Core i7-10700K or equivalent and the GPU to an RTX 2060 or equivalent. Either way, you need Windows 10 or 11 64-bit with DirectX 11.1 or later.

The storage requirement is the number that stops people cold. You need 50 GB of free space plus another 40 GB for extraction, totaling about 90 GB. The developers recommend an SSD. If your drive is tight on space, now is the time to clear room.

No data wipe changes the stakes

This is not a typical beta where progress evaporates at the end. In-game purchases are enabled during the test, and because there is no data wipe, anything you buy or earn transfers to the live version. That is an important detail for anyone considering spending money during the trial.

The Steam version runs on the same live servers as other platforms. Account data, game content, and progress sync across them all. But the team warns that this version is still under optimization. You may run into bugs, client crashes, or server hiccups. If something goes wrong, you can send feedback through the in-game customer support system.

One more thing: everything in this test is subject to change. The developers say the content does not represent the final quality of the official release and that they will keep polishing based on player feedback.

What happens after the test

Once the Pioneer Test closes, the team will sort through feedback and push toward the official Steam launch. Earlier tests suggest more optimizations are coming, and there may be additional events before release day.

For the latest Arknights: Endfield news, keep checking official channels. The sign-up deadline is September 10, 2026 at 13:00 UTC+8. If you plan to play on Steam at launch, getting into this test gives you early access, permanent rewards, and a chance to shape the final game. For free-to-play players, the 180 Oroberyl alone makes the five-day login requirement worth the effort.
