Ganyu's Burst applies Cryo too frequently in most Melt teams, overriding the Pyro aura needed for her Charged Attack to trigger Melt. Skip it to keep reactions consistent.

Ganyu Cryo MELT DPS: Ganyu's Level 2 Charged Shot applies two instances of Cryo due to separate ICD, enabling two Melt triggers. Charged Attacks are the primary damage source; Skill and Burst contribution is negligible in most scenarios.
Weapon Choices: Amos' Bow – Level 2 Charge Shot Bloom extends flight time, granting 3 stacks even at point-blank. Flower-Wreathed Feathers scales very well with refinements; at [R5] it beats The First Great Magic. Hamayumi prefers Wanderer's Troupe (4); high refinements outperform Thundering Pulse and Skyward Harp. Scion of the Blazing Sun at [R5] beats Thundering Pulse and Skyward Harp. Prototype Crescent at high refinement with passive uptime can match Skyward Harp; performance drops if enemies lack weak spots.
Artifact Sets: Shimenawa's Reminiscence (4) vs Wanderer's Troupe (4) – 5 Charged Attacks within 10s favors Shimenawa, but difficult; Wanderer's Troupe deals more damage for most players. Unfinished Reverie outperforms both if consistent burn is applied.
Talent Priority: Burst is low priority in Melt builds; avoid casting it to prevent stealing Melt.
FREEZE DPS: In Cryo freeze teams, Burst is the main damage source; Charged Attacks are used only during downtime. With Shenhe, weapons with CRIT Rate/CRIT DMG or DMG% are slightly favored.
Weapon Choices: Polar Star – high CRIT Rate makes optimization harder. Amos' Bow underperforms other 5-star options in quickswap rotations (Ganyu Mona Venti Diona). Song of Stillness assumes healing before Burst. Prototype Crescent requires weak spot hit before Burst; at [R5] close to Skyward Harp. Mouun's Moon performance varies with team burst cost; at [R5] similar to Thundering Pulse.
Artifact Sets: Marechaussee Hunter (4) only with Furina; slightly worse than Blizzard Strayer (4).
MONO CRYO DPS: Uses Blizzard Strayer (4) and Cryo Resonance; Ganyu deals damage via both Charged Attacks and Burst.
Weapon Choices: Amos' Bow underperforms Skyward Harp with Shenhe. Flower-Wreathed Feathers at [R5] similar to Prototype Crescent [R5]. Prototype Crescent needs weak spot before Burst; at [R5] slightly better (without Shenhe) or worse (with) than Skyward Harp. Mouun's Moon varies with team burst cost; performs better with Shenhe. Song of Stillness assumes healing. Flower-Wreathed Feathers scales well with refinements; at [R5] closer to Amos' Bow.
