SS
vanguardsupportbufferdebufferheatsp_generation
Camille earns an SS rating by compressing several team-wide amplifiers into one slot: Heat Susceptibility and Weakness from his Battle Skill, a stacking Heat DMG buff from Bloodfount Revival, and rare Link buffs from his Combo Skill and Hunter Pursuit. He also hands SP back to the team. His Combo Skill only needs any Heat Infliction to be consumed or absorbed, so he can flex into non-Heat arts lineups as long as the rotation still allows the trigger.
endgamesupportlate_gamesupportheatlink_buffsp_generationsignature_weaponteam_buff
This endgame configuration turns Camille into a pure enabler for a Heat-leaning squad. Blessing of Lustrous Carmine supplies simultaneous ATK and Heat DMG buffs to everyone while speeding up his own Ultimate cycle, and the Frontiers set converts his frequent SP recovery into an extra team-wide damage bonus. Redeemer Seal fills the off-slot with Intellect and Ultimate Gain, feeding the healing portion of his Talent chain so Bloodfount Revival keeps stacking while Link buffs and Heat Infliction stay available. Since his personal multipliers stay low, every choice is pointed at amplifying allies instead of chasing his own damage.

Explanation

Blessing of Lustrous Carmine is the first choice because it grants the whole party ATK and Heat DMG buffs while also improving Camille's own Ultimate recharge, which is exactly what his kit feeds on.
Beacon of Duty is the strongest substitute when the team wants its Physical and Heat DMG buffs from the Efficacy: Fuel for the Torch skill, and it also carries Ultimate Gain stats.
JET and Pathfinder's Beacon are only personal stat sticks; they raise his damage but drop the team-wide support that makes him worth the slot, so treat them as fallbacks.
Frontiers covers armor, gloves, and the first kit slot, and its SP-triggered team DMG buff lines up with the SP Camille constantly regains from his Combo Skill and Ultimate.
Redeemer Seal fills the remaining slot because its Intellect and Ultimate Gain both improve parts of his kit, giving stronger healing for his Talent and more frequent Ultimates.

Notes

  • Ultimate Gain is the headline stat here: faster Ultimates mean more Heat Infliction applications and more Link buffs for the squad.
  • Intellect is not a damage stat on this build; it feeds the healing half of Hunter of Transgression that keeps Bloodfount Revival stacking.
  • The Frontiers set effect is easy to keep up because Combo Skill, Ultimate, and Hunter Pursuit all return SP to Camille.
early gamesupportbeginnerearly_gamef2pheatbudget
A budget setup for players who have not unlocked purple gear yet. Pathfinder's Beacon carries Camille through the early story thanks to its Attack and Agility buffs and its Inspiring essence, while Mordvolt Insulation supplies the Intellect his Talents want along with an Arts DMG bonus as long as he stays above 80% HP. Ultimate Gain Efficiency is unavailable at this point, so the build tolerates less frequent Ultimates and leans on his Battle Skill mark and Combo Skill for its support value.

Explanation

Pathfinder's Beacon is the accessible pick early because its Attack and Agility buffs plus the Inspiring essence let Camille clear story roadblocks himself, including the Triaggelos boss.
Mordvolt Insulation is chosen for its Intellect and Attack stat lines, with the Intellect directly supporting his Talents and the Attack line helping his own output.
Because Ultimate-based Heat Infliction and Link generation cannot be built at this stage, the setup intentionally leans on his Battle Skill mark and Combo Skill instead.
No alternatives are suggested in the source for this stage; upgrades come later by replacing these pieces with higher-rarity gear.

Notes

  • Ultimate Gain Efficiency simply is not obtainable before purple gear, so this build accepts slower Ultimates.
  • Intellect raises the healing half of his Talent chain, which is what lets Bloodfount Revival build stacks.
  • The set's Arts DMG bonus only applies above 80% HP, so keeping Camille topped up matters.

Build Insights

Camille sits in a Vanguard slot but functions as a support and enabler. His job is to mark a priority target with Firefang Vesperwings so the enemy takes more Heat damage, then ride his teammates' Heat Infliction consumption to fire Heartstake Thorn and hand out Link buffs. His Ultimate both refills SP and upgrades his next Battle Skill into Hunter Pursuit, which lets him keep Link uptime going even when no mark is present. In Heat compositions he is the glue that connects Heat appliers with burst windows; he wants to be paired with a main Heat DPS such as Laevatain so that Scorching Heart and similar effects repeatedly trigger his Combo Skill. Outside Heat teams he can still be slotted into arts squads provided someone else generates non-Heat or Heat Infliction that gets consumed, because his Link buffs are element-agnostic. Position him as the debuff anchor rather than the damage dealer, and sequence Battle Skill first, Combo Skill second, Ultimate whenever it is ready.
Core Mechanics
  • Blazing Exorcism summons Firefang Vesperwings that deal Heat DMG, apply Heat Infliction, then hover on the target to inflict Weakness and Heat Susceptibility. If the marked enemy dies, the effect jumps to a nearby enemy. Only one instance can exist at a time.
  • Camille's Combo Skill Heartstake Thorn fires whenever an enemy's Heat Infliction is consumed or absorbed, dealing damage and refunding SP.
  • Hitting an enemy still marked by the hovering Firefang Vesperwings with Heartstake Thorn adds a delayed explosion and grants the party a Link buff.
  • Sanguine Downpour rains Heat DMG over a large area, applies Heat Infliction, returns SP on hit, and converts the next Battle Skill into Hunter Pursuit — a free Combo Skill that always grants Link regardless of Firefang Vesperwings.
  • Bloodfount Revival stacks Heat DMG Dealt on Camille each time a skill heals him and shares a quarter of that bonus with the rest of the team; being at full HP grants two stacks at once.
Scaling
  • His personal multipliers are low, so scaling comes from buffing and enabling allies rather than from his own damage output.
  • Much of his kit depends on Intellect for the healing half of his Talent chain and on Ultimate Gain Efficiency for Link and Heat Infliction uptime, and both stats are largely locked behind higher-rarity gear.
  • Battle Skill levels raise the Heat Susceptibility debuff, while Combo Skill and Ultimate levels improve SP recovery and Hunter Pursuit damage, making ability investment meaningful even on a support build.
  • He is team-dependent by design: without a partner that consumes or absorbs Heat Infliction, his Combo Skill never triggers and a large part of his value disappears.

Character Notes

Camille is a Heat Vanguard whose real identity is support. He plants Firefang Vesperwings on an enemy to stack Weakness and Heat Susceptibility, then cashes in his teammates' Heat Infliction consumption to fire Heartstake Thorn, refund SP, and hand out Link buffs. His Ultimate floods an area with Heat damage and Heat Infliction while transforming the next Battle Skill into Hunter Pursuit, a free Combo Skill that always provides Link. Because Link buffs are not element-locked, he can operate in arts teams that can trigger his Combo Skill, though Heat squads get the most from his susceptibility debuff and shared Heat DMG bonus.
Playstyle
  • Open with Blazing Exorcism so Firefang Vesperwings begin hovering and the target carries Weakness and Heat Susceptibility before your damage dealers commit.
  • Hold Heartstake Thorn until a teammate consumes or absorbs Heat Infliction; hitting the marked enemy also adds an explosion and applies Link.
  • Fire Sanguine Downpour to refresh Heat Infliction, regain SP, and unlock Hunter Pursuit — remember Hunter Pursuit grants Link even without a hovering mark.
  • Keep an eye on your HP, since healing from your Talent is what stacks Bloodfount Revival and shares Heat DMG with the team.
Strengths
  • Stacks several team-wide damage multipliers — Weakness, Heat Susceptibility, Link, and a shared Heat DMG buff — from a single operator slot.
  • Provides rare Link buffs that are useful to any element, not only Heat teams.
  • Regenerates SP for himself through his Combo Skill and Ultimate, sustaining his own rotation.
  • Firefang Vesperwings transfer to another enemy when the marked target dies, so his debuff uptime survives target swaps.
Weaknesses
  • Very low personal multipliers, so he contributes almost no damage on his own.
  • His Combo Skill needs someone to consume or absorb Heat Infliction; without that trigger his kit stalls.
  • Only one Firefang Vesperwings can exist at a time, and recasting the Battle Skill cancels the current one.
  • Ultimate Gain Efficiency and Intellect are hard to build before purple gear, which delays his Link and debuff uptime in the early game.

Team Guide

bestheat_teamhypercarryburst_team
Camille's flagship setup places him in a Heat hypercarry squad anchored by Laevatain. Acting as the team's SP engine and debuffer, he opens with his Battle Skill to plant Heat Susceptibility, Weaken, and a stack of Heat Infliction through Firefang Vesperwings, while his Combo Skill restores SP and grants the party a Link buff whenever it connects with a marked enemy. Wulfgard layers on additional Heat Infliction stacks and Ardelia handles sustain plus Corrosion, so Laevatain can bank three stacks and dump a massive enhanced Battle Skill.
Ardelia should sit ahead of Camille in the team menu so her Combo Skill fires earlier and Corrosion lands with less downtime.

Explanation

Camille's debuffs are the fuel for the whole comp: Laevatain's Talent converts the Heat Infliction he applies into Melting Flame stacks.
His Combo Skill doubles as a battery and a Link buffer, so it must land on a target already marked by Firefang Vesperwings.
Wulfgard stacks extra Heat Infliction while Ardelia keeps everyone alive and adds Corrosion for extra amplification.

Strengths

  • Excellent debuff-to-damage conversion between Camille's kit and Laevatain's stacking Talent.
  • Link buff plus Heat Susceptibility and Corrosion give Laevatain a very high burst ceiling.

Weaknesses

  • Rotation timing is strict; missing Camille's Battle Skill when Firefang Vesperwings is absent noticeably lowers team damage.
  • Wulfgard's Combo Skill can be cut short if his Battle Skill is used mid-animation, costing a Heat Infliction stack.

Rotation

  1. 1Open with Camille's Battle Skill so Firefang Vesperwings applies Heat Susceptibility, Weaken, and one stack of Heat Infliction.
  2. 2Trigger Wulfgard's Combo Skill to add a second stack of Heat Infliction onto the target.
  3. 3Cast Wulfgard's Battle Skill for a third Heat Infliction stack, but only after the previous stack has already been applied.
  4. 4Perform Laevatain's Final Strike to absorb all Heat Infliction and collect three Melting Flame stacks.
  5. 5Trigger Ardelia's Combo Skill so her Corrosion debuff is applied ahead of Camille's next action.
  6. 6Trigger Camille's Combo Skill to recover SP and hand the party a Link buff if the enemy carries Firefang Vesperwings.
  7. 7Once Corrosion is active, trigger Laevatain's Combo Skill to finish off the Melting Flame stacks.
  8. 8Cast Laevatain's enhanced Battle Skill and let it consume the Link buff for a large damage spike.
Debuff with Camille, stack Heat Infliction with Wulfgard, absorb with Laevatain's Final Strike, then refresh buffs before Laevatain's enhanced Battle Skill.
alternativeburst_teamhypercarryphysical_team
Camille also fits comfortably beside Rossi, where his debuffs and SP generation feed her crit-based burst plan. Rossi can eat the Heat Infliction he applies through her Combo Skill, which in turn lets his own Combo Skill hand out a party Link buff. Camille's Heat Susceptibility, Perlica's Electrification, and Gilberta's Arts Susceptibility all stack up so Rossi's Ultimate can detonate the Link buff for enormous single-target damage.
The sequence matters: apply Camille's Battle Skill, wait for Gilberta's Vulnerable, then let Rossi cycle her Battle and Combo Skills before finishing with her Ultimate.

Explanation

Camille supplies both the SP Rossi needs and the Heat Infliction her Combo Skill consumes to gain crit buffs.
Gilberta's Vulnerable timing gates Rossi's Battle Skill, so Camille's debuff should be placed before that window.
Perlica's Electrification and Gilberta's Arts Susceptibility layer extra amplification on top of Camille's Heat Susceptibility.

Strengths

  • Very high single-target burst centered on Rossi's Ultimate consuming the Link buff.
  • Multiple debuff types (Heat Susceptibility, Electrification, Arts Susceptibility, Vulnerable) compound Rossi's damage.

Weaknesses

  • Rossi's Combo Skill must be held until Vulnerable from Gilberta actually lands, which demands tight sequencing.
  • The team leans hard on one damage window, so a whiffed Ultimate costs most of the rotation's value.

Rotation

  1. 1Perform a Final Strike with Rossi, then trigger Perlica's Combo Skill to apply Electrification.
  2. 2Trigger Gilberta's Combo Skill and let a stack of Vulnerable land after its short delay.
  3. 3Cast Camille's Battle Skill to apply Heat Infliction and the Firefang Vesperwings debuff, holding Rossi's Combo Skill for now.
  4. 4Once Vulnerable is active, cast Rossi's Battle Skill to apply Razor Clawmark and enable her Seething Blood Talent.
  5. 5Trigger both of Rossi's Combo Skills to consume the Heat Infliction and pick up her Crit Rate and Crit Damage buffs.
  6. 6Trigger Camille's Combo Skill to gain the party Link buff.
  7. 7Have Rossi's Ultimate consume the Link buff, then immediately cast Gilberta's Ultimate to apply her susceptibility debuffs.
Set debuffs with Camille, Perlica and Gilberta, cycle Rossi's skills for crit buffs, then consume Camille's Link buff with Rossi's Ultimate.
alternativehypercarryburst_teamarts_team
In this variant Camille acts as a support and battery for Arcane's INT Form, feeding her both of his Link buffs while generating SP for the squad. His Battle Skill opens the fight with Firefang Vesperwings and a Heat Infliction stack, and his Ultimate pushes that count to three while unlocking Hunter's Pursuit. Wulfgard adds another Heat Infliction source and Perlica upgrades her Electrification to level three, so Arcane's Battle Skill and Gloompurge Arcana Ultimate both fire while holding a Link buff.
Arcane's first Combo Skill is deliberately delayed so it lines up with her Battle Skill later in the plan, and the two Link buffs are spaced out for her Battle Skill and Ultimate respectively.

Explanation

Camille covers both SP generation and Link buffing, letting Arcane's INT Form reach its damage ceiling.
Wulfgard deepens the Heat Infliction count while Perlica upgrades Electrification for extra burst.
Camille's first Link buff is spent on Arcane's Battle Skill and the second on Gloompurge Arcana.

Strengths

  • Camille's two Link buffs can be distributed across Arcane's Battle Skill and Ultimate for back-to-back boosted hits.
  • Electrification from Perlica and Heat-based debuffs from Camille and Wulfgard stack multiple damage multipliers.

Weaknesses

  • Needs careful pacing because Arcane's Combo Skill must be held back to sync with her Battle Skill.
  • Full value depends on Camille's Ultimate being available to reach three Heat Infliction stacks.

Rotation

  1. 1Cast Camille's Battle Skill, then trigger Wulfgard's Combo Skill while leaving Arcane's Combo Skill untriggered.
  2. 2Use Camille's Ultimate to raise the Heat Infliction count to three and unlock Hunter's Pursuit.
  3. 3Use Arcane's Ultimate to force Corrosion and enable the Gloompurger Array's coordinated attacks.
  4. 4Perform Arcane's first Final Strike, then trigger her Combo Skill and Perlica's Combo Skill.
  5. 5Cast Perlica's Battle Skill to upgrade Electrification to level three, then use her Ultimate for extra damage.
  6. 6Trigger Camille's Combo Skill for a Link buff, then have Arcane's Battle Skill consume it for bonus damage and an early end to Imprisonment.
  7. 7Perform Arcane's second Final Strike to unlock Gloompurge Arcana.
  8. 8Cast Camille's Battle Skill from Hunter's Pursuit to generate another Link buff.
  9. 9Fire Arcane's Ultimate, Gloompurge Arcana, consuming the Link buff for increased damage.
Open with Camille's debuff and Wulfgard, raise Heat stacks with Camille's Ultimate, then feed Arcane two Link buffs for her Battle Skill and Ultimate.
alternativehypercarryburst_teamarts_team
This second Arcane composition swaps Wulfgard and Perlica for Gilberta and Liino, and it assumes the squad starts with full energy. Camille again provides the debuffs, the SP, and the Link buffs that Arcane's INT Form converts into damage, opening with Firefang Vesperwings before layering his Ultimate for Hunter's Pursuit and a second Heat Infliction stack. Liino activates her buffs while Gilberta supplies Arts Susceptibility through her Ultimate, and both of Camille's Link buffs are routed into Arcane's Battle Skill and Gloompurge Arcana.
Timing is the crux: Gilberta's and Liino's Combo Skills come first for energy and damage, then Camille's Battle Skill lands right as Arcane's Final Strike begins.

Explanation

Liino's energy support and Gilberta's susceptibility debuff replace the Wulfgard/Perlica package while keeping Arcane's burst intact.
Camille still handles debuffing, SP generation, and both Link buffs that Arcane consumes.
Gilberta's Ultimate is deliberately placed before Arcane's Ultimate so its susceptibility is live for the big hit.

Strengths

  • Liino's buffs and Gilberta's susceptibility push Arcane's Ultimate window even higher.
  • Camille's debuff uptime supports both halves of Gloompurge Arcana's damage.

Weaknesses

  • The line demands a full energy start and precise ordering of Ultimates and Combo Skills.
  • Losing Gilberta's Ultimate timing weakens the final Arcane Ultimate significantly.

Rotation

  1. 1Cast Camille's Battle Skill to apply the Firefang Vesperwings debuff and one stack of Heat Infliction.
  2. 2Cast Liino's Ultimate to activate her buffs, follow with Arcane's Ultimate for Corrosion, then Camille's Ultimate for Hunter's Pursuit and a second Heat Infliction stack.
  3. 3Trigger Gilberta's and Liino's Combo Skills for damage and energy, then Arcane's Combo Skill to Imprison enemies and apply her susceptibility debuffs.
  4. 4Use Camille's Battle Skill from Hunter's Pursuit and perform Arcane's Final Strike during the animation for the first half of Gloompurge Arcana.
  5. 5Once Camille's Link buff is ready, cast Arcane's Battle Skill to consume it for extra damage and end her Combo Skill early.
  6. 6Trigger Liino's Combo Skill, then use Gilberta's Ultimate to apply her susceptibility debuff.
  7. 7Trigger Camille's Combo Skill for another Link buff and perform Arcane's Final Strike during the second half of Gloompurge Arcana.
  8. 8When Gloompurge Arcana is available and the Link buff is active, use Arcane's Ultimate to consume it for amplified damage.
Debuff with Camille, buff with Liino, then spend both Camille Link buffs on Arcane's Battle Skill and her Gloompurge Arcana Ultimate.

Team Insights

Camille is a flexible Heat support whose value comes from two things: reliable SP generation and the Link buff he hands out whenever his Combo Skill lands on an enemy carrying Firefang Vesperwings. His Battle Skill also plants Heat Susceptibility, Weaken, and a stack of Heat Infliction, which makes him a natural partner for damage dealers that either consume Heat stacks or simply benefit from extra susceptibility windows. Because the debuff and the Link buff come from different abilities, teams are usually built so that his Battle Skill goes down early and his Combo Skill is timed to land right before a carry's finisher. He fits best as the third or fourth slot in hypercarry shells, where a single big Ultimate or enhanced Battle Skill can convert his buffs into one large damage spike.
Synergy Patterns
  • Camille's Heat Infliction is consumed by Laevatain's Talent and by Rossi's Combo Skill, so both carries use him to trigger their own stacking buffs.
  • Link buff from Camille's Combo Skill is best spent on a carry's Battle Skill or Ultimate to multiply a single large hit.
  • Heat Susceptibility and Weaken from Camille stack alongside Electrification, Arts Susceptibility, and Vulnerable from other supports.
  • Camille doubles as a battery, so teams can run heavier supports instead of a dedicated SP generator.
Tips
  • Never skip Camille's Battle Skill when Firefang Vesperwings is not already present on the field, since the Heat Susceptibility and Link buffs are core to carry damage.
  • Place Ardelia before Camille in the team menu in the Laevatain comp so her Combo Skill triggers first and Corrosion applies with less downtime.
  • In the Laevatain comp, wait until the second Heat Infliction has landed before casting Wulfgard's Battle Skill, otherwise his Combo Skill animation gets cancelled.
  • In the Rossi comp, hold Rossi's Combo Skill until Vulnerable from Gilberta has actually applied.
  • In the Arcane comps, delay Arcane's first Combo Skill so it lines up with her Battle Skill, and space out Camille's two Link buffs for her Battle Skill and Ultimate.
