Estella lands at B tier mainly because her usefulness is tied to applying Physical Susceptibility while Solidification is active, which her own Cryo Infliction can set up. Shatter-focused compositions currently see less use than straight Physical teams, so her unique contribution is often replaced. She still works fine as a low-rarity Cryo sub-DPS/support for players building around reactions.

This is Estella's late-game setup for reaction-focused teams, where she contributes both a debuff and real damage. The OBJ Razorhorn polearm is equipped to boost her attack and Physical output while adding effect on Infliction, and the Type 50 Yinglung set is worn because its bonus triggers off any teammate's battle skill and funnels extra damage into her next combo skill, which is exactly the skill that applies Physical Susceptibility. Since her combo skill and ultimate carry most of her damage, the whole setup is built to push those two multipliers rather than her basic attacks. Swordmancer TAC Gauntlets occupy the glove slot as a stat-focused off-piece for Strength, Will and Physical DMG Bonus. The build fits a sub-DPS role inside Shatter compositions: she sets up Solidification with Cryo Infliction, cashes it in with the combo skill for Susceptibility, and then lets the team and her ultimate convert that into Lift and extra Physical damage.

Explanation

OBJ Razorhorn is the top choice because its passive meshes with Estella's damage pattern and it supplies both attack and Physical damage to amplify her hits.
Type 50 Yinglung rewards the habit of having allies cast battle skills, stacking damage on the next combo skill, which lines up exactly with how Distortion is cycled.
The off-set Swordmancer gloves patch up her Strength, Will and Physical DMG Bonus, keeping her personal damage relevant while the set handles the combo skill multiplier.
Valiant is a reasonable pick for the extra attack when she is already applying Susceptibility, while Mountain Bearer is only a stat stick because she gains nothing from its Agility.

Notes

  • Weapon essences should be pushed in the order Will Boost, then Physical DMG Boost, then Infliction.
  • The gloves are an off-set slot chosen for Strength, Will and Physical DMG Bonus instead of a set bonus.
  • JET is a fine stand-in until OBJ Razorhorn's essences are invested, after which it falls behind.

This entry-level configuration keeps Estella usable before you have farmed dedicated late-game gear. OBJ Razorhorn is still equipped because it is the best polearm for her and, as a lower-rarity weapon, it is the easiest of her options to get hold of. The Mordvolt Resistant set provides a large chunk of Will, which suits a character whose damage is tied to her Will scaling, and its pieces also carry Attack that helps her combo skill and ultimate hit harder. Miner Gauntlets T1 fills the glove slot as a simple Attack off-piece. The build does not change how she is played: she still opens with Cryo Infliction, converts Solidification into Physical Susceptibility with her combo skill, and finishes with the ultimate. Treat it as a temporary loadout until Type 50 Yinglung and the stronger stat rolls become available.

Explanation

At this stage there is no reason to swap away from OBJ Razorhorn since it remains her strongest option and is the cheapest of the recommended polearms to obtain.
Mordvolt Resistant is chosen for the flat Will it grants, which feeds the scaling she cares about, plus the Attack that comes on its individual pieces.
The glove slot goes to Miner Gauntlets T1 as a pure Attack off-piece rather than chasing a partial set bonus.
This setup is a stepping stone: it keeps her functional in Shatter teams while you farm the Type 50 Yinglung pieces for the endgame configuration.

Notes

  • OBJ Razorhorn stays equipped here too; being a lower rarity weapon makes it far easier to acquire early on.
  • Mordvolt Resistant pieces are taken mostly for the Will increase, while several individual pieces also add Attack.
  • Miner Gauntlets T1 is used as the glove off-piece simply for extra Attack.

Build Insights

Estella functions as a reaction enabler and secondary damage dealer rather than a primary carry. Her job in a lineup is to first tag enemies with Cryo Infliction through Onomatopoeia, then let the team push those targets into Solidification so Distortion becomes available. When the combo trigger fires, she applies Physical Susceptibility, which raises the Physical damage the whole team deals to that target, and Tremolo later converts that debuff into Lift for extra crowd control. Because of this, she wants teammates that can guarantee Solidification or Shatter windows and other Physical damage dealers who profit from her debuff. She is usually slotted as the second or third damage source in a Shatter-oriented composition, with her skill order being Battle Skill first, Combo Skill second, and Ultimate last to convert the Susceptibility into Lift. Outside of reaction teams she offers little, so she should only be fielded when the rest of the lineup supports the Solidification plan.
Core Mechanics
  • Onomatopoeia pushes a lance thrust that deals Cryo damage along a straight line and applies Cryo Infliction, opening the door to Solidification reactions.
  • Distortion only becomes available once an enemy is suffering Solidification; it hits for Physical damage, force-Lifts enemies in a small area, and adds bonus damage plus Physical Susceptibility if the target is still solidified.
  • Tremolo is an area slam that deals Physical damage around Estella and applies Lift to any enemy already carrying Physical Susceptibility.
  • Talent Commiseration returns SP to the next Onomatopoeia cast after a Shatter occurs, while Laziness Pays Off Now merely reduces incoming Cryo damage and is highly situational.
Scaling
  • Her output curves toward the extra hit on Distortion and toward Tremolo, so stat investment leans on Will and Physical DMG rather than raw Attack alone.
  • In the early game cheap gear is enough because she mostly exists to enable reactions; her ceiling stays modest no matter the investment.
  • She is heavily team dependent: without a reliable way to reach Solidification, her Susceptibility application and combo trigger rarely happen.

Character Notes

Estella is a 4-star Cryo Guard who wields a polearm and leans on Will as her main attribute. She is not a straightforward damage carry; her identity comes from granting Physical Susceptibility to enemies that are already suffering Solidification, which indirectly boosts the entire team's Physical damage. Her kit flows in a fixed sequence: Cryo Infliction from the battle skill makes Solidification possible, the combo skill cashes that in for bonus damage and Susceptibility, and the ultimate turns that debuff into Lift for crowd control. Because Solidification and Shatter teams are less prominent than pure Physical setups right now, she is a niche pick, but inside a reaction-focused lineup she provides both a debuff and respectable secondary damage from her combo skill and ultimate.
Playstyle
  • Follow the intended order: land Onomatopoeia for Cryo Infliction, then trigger Distortion once Solidification appears, and finally use Tremolo to convert Susceptibility into Lift.
  • Keep an eye on the Solidification window, since the combo skill can only be used while an enemy is affected by it.
  • Hold the ultimate until Physical Susceptibility is already on the target so the forced Lift actually applies.
  • Basic attacks have low multipliers and are mostly filler; treat skill uptime as the priority instead of auto-attack weaving.
Strengths
  • Provides Physical Susceptibility, which raises the Physical damage the whole team inflicts on that target.
  • Native Cryo Infliction from her battle skill lets her enable Solidification without outside help.
  • Combo skill and ultimate have strong multipliers and double as crowd control through forced Lift.
  • Talent Commiseration refunds SP after Shatter triggers, easing her energy loop.
Weaknesses
  • Her combo skill is unusable unless an enemy is under Solidification, making her dependent on reaction support.
  • Shatter-oriented teams are currently weaker than Physical compositions, so her niche is narrow.
  • Basic attack strings contribute very little damage.
  • Talent Laziness Pays Off Now is highly situational and rarely worth investment.

Team Guide

bestcryo_teamburst_team
Estella runs the Shatter shell as Sub-DPS: her Cryo Infliction is the fuel Alesh needs to force Solidification, and that Solidification in turn fires Estella's Combo Skill to stamp Physical Susceptibility onto the target. Endministrator is the payoff, turning Susceptibility plus Chen Qianyu's Vulnerable stacks into Crush burst, while Alesh doubles as the SP engine that makes the whole window repeatable.

Explanation

Alesh consumes Estella's Cryo Infliction to force Solidification, which is the trigger Estella needs.
Estella's Combo Skill responds to that Solidification by adding Physical Susceptibility on the enemy.
Chen Qianyu layers Vulnerable marks that the DPS later cashes out with Crush damage.
Alesh's SP generation keeps the burst window cycling instead of stalling out.

Strengths

  • A clean setup chain: Cryo Infliction into Solidification into easy Physical Susceptibility.
  • Susceptibility and Vulnerable stack together, so the Crush finisher lands very hard.
  • Alesh supplies SP so the rotation can be repeated without long downtime.

Rotation

  1. 1Open with Estella's Battle Skill or Alesh's Ultimate so Cryo Infliction lands on the target.
  2. 2Spend those Cryo Infliction stacks with Alesh's Battle Skill to forcibly apply Solidification.
  3. 3Fire Estella's Combo Skill for Lift plus Physical Susceptibility, and slip in her Ultimate if it is charged for one more Vulnerability stack.
  4. 4Follow up with Endministrator's Combo Skill to plant Originium Crystals, then her Ultimate if ready to consume them for added burst; otherwise keep going.
  5. 5Trigger Chen Qianyu's Combo Skill to place an additional Vulnerable stack on the enemy.
  6. 6Use Alesh's Combo Skill to regain SP for the rest of the sequence.
  7. 7Cast Chen Qianyu's Battle Skill for yet another Vulnerable stack before the finisher.
  8. 8With SP in hand, use Endministrator's Battle Skill to consume all Vulnerable stacks at once and convert them into Crush damage; wait on SP refunds before repeating it.
Cryo Infliction first, Alesh forces Solidification, Estella adds Susceptibility, Endministrator bursts with Combo and Ultimate, Chen Qianyu stacks Vulnerable, Alesh refunds SP, then the DPS cashes everything in with Crush.
alternativecryo_teamburst_team
Here Estella keeps the same Sub-DPS job while Mi Fu takes the main damage slot instead of Endministrator. The engine is unchanged: Estella's Cryo Infliction lets Alesh force Solidification, Estella's Combo Skill then adds Physical Susceptibility, and Chen Qianyu piles Vulnerable on top so Mi Fu's Crush hits as hard as possible. Alesh also provides the SP the loop depends on.

Explanation

Mi Fu simply replaces Endministrator as the Physical damage dealer in the same Shatter structure.
Estella still supplies the Cryo Infliction that Alesh turns into Solidification.
Mi Fu's Crush benefits from the Physical Susceptibility Estella applies after Solidification.
Chen Qianyu's Vulnerable stacks exist purely to be spent by that Crush finisher.

Strengths

  • Same reliable Solidification into Physical Susceptibility setup chain.
  • Mi Fu's Crush cashes in both Susceptibility and Vulnerable for heavy burst.

Team Insights

Estella is built as a Physical team enabler rather than a pure damage carry. Her Cryo Infliction is the prerequisite that lets a Solidification trigger partner like Alesh convert those stacks, and that Solidification is what activates her Combo Skill, which slaps Physical Susceptibility on the target. From there, the team's real damage dealer — Endministrator or Mi Fu — spends the Susceptibility together with Vulnerable marks from a support such as Chen Qianyu to land a large Crush hit. Estella therefore wants teammates who reliably trigger Solidification, a Physical Crush DPS to convert the debuffs, and a support or SP provider to keep the window running.
Synergy Patterns
  • Estella's Cryo Infliction is the resource Alesh needs to force Solidification.
  • That Solidification activates Estella's Combo Skill, which applies Physical Susceptibility for the main DPS.
  • Chen Qianyu's Vulnerable stacks get consumed by the DPS's Crush for a big burst payoff.
  • Alesh's Combo Skill restores SP, letting the burst pattern repeat instead of ending after one window.
Tips
  • Apply Cryo Infliction before spending Alesh's Battle Skill, otherwise Solidification will not trigger.
  • Hold Estella's Ultimate for a moment when you want an extra Vulnerability stack on top of her Combo Skill.
  • Do not fire the DPS's Battle Skill too early — bank Vulnerable stacks first so Crush consumes as many as possible.
  • If SP runs dry, wait for Alesh's refund before casting the DPS's Battle Skill to trigger Crush again.
