Adler
Adler supports the team by providing both shields that scale with DEF, and DoT damage that scales on standard damage means. Overall, though, he is placed in B-tier as the damage he offers is lacking compared to other DPS units, and is thus sought out mostly for his shielding.

Best Teams
Adler serves as a general shield support option that also comes with DoT capabilities to support his team through trace damage. By virtue of being an Incantation unit, his best team is a Scorch team featuring Baicang as Main DPS and Daffodill as Sub-DPS. Taking Haniel instead of Sakiri turns it into a Discord team.
Start with Adler's Skill to apply shield.
Swap to Buffer to apply buffs.
Swap to Sub-DPS and then Main DPS to deal damage.
Use Adler's Ultimate on lone enemies for bonus DoT.
Adler can also function in Hexed teams with Nanally and Jiuyuan due to the team's high Anima and Incantation presence, allowing for frequent procs of Hexed.

Skill Priority
Pristine Reflection (Support Skill)
Provides bonus Incantation damage, but offers not much else.
Deliverance (Basic Attack)
Basic Attacks are leveled last or outright ignored since Adler will normally be using their Skill and Ultimate more often.
Tranquility (Ultimate)
Adler's Ultimate is leveled next for its burst damage, which is amplified when against lone enemies, such as bosses.
Evil's Bane (Skill)
Adler's DoT and shielding are based around this ability, so level this first to max out on both his continuous damage and protective shielding.
How to Play
Adler is usually run as the very first unit in a fight, casting his Skill to summon his Shield to defend his team. Make sure to have him go first, or if not, have him go just before your DPS units. Use your Ultimate to apply Incantation DoT to opponents, especially effective in Scorch teams. Swap to your Sub-DPS or Main DPS unit, potentially triggering an Incantation-related Esper Cycle.

Tips
- Adler's Ultimate applies a second strike of Incantation DMG against lone opponents, making up for the lack of multiple targets.
- Pair Adler with Chaos characters for Scorch (DoT) or Anima for Hexed (follow-up attacks). His skillset fits Scorch teams better.
Skills
Deliverance
Wields his weapon to perform up to 5 consecutive attacks. Grants 1 stack of Karma when a Basic Attack hits an enemy, up to 20 stacks.
Liberation
Enters Aim status, dealing 1 instance of Incantation DMG to enemy in the crosshair and granting 2 stacks of Karma.
Ignorance
Wields his weapon in the air and plunges, dealing 1 instance of Incantation DMG to an area upon impact.
Karma
Grants 1 stack of mark when Deliverance or Liberation hits an enemy, up to 20 stacks.
Need help? Summons Sunya phantoms to strike enemies, dealing 1 instance of Incantation DMG to an area, then inflicting Incantation DMG over time on enemies and granting active characters a shield with Blessing.
Consumes all stacks of Karma on skill cast. Each stack consumed grants Adler 2% Skill DMG.

This fight shall not be prolonged any longer. Aims and fires 1 Compressed Round at the enemy, dealing 1 instance of Incantation DMG to an area on hit.
Passives
Scorch Enhancement: Applies one of three random debuffs whenever Scorch is inflicted on a target: -20% ATK, -10% Esper Resistance, or +10% Break Efficiency, lasting for 15s. The same effect cannot stack.
Adler DEF +20%
Awakening
Grants Adler 20 stacks of Karma when casting Tranquility.
Each stack of Karma grants Adler 3% DMG Bonus.
Increases the Shield of Blessing by 20%.
Absorbs a portion of overflow damage based on 50% of Adler's DEF when Blessing breaks.
Grants Adler 20 Ultimate Energy when casting Tranquility.
Extends the duration of Blessing to 12s.
Increases the skill level of Deliverance, Evil's Bane, and Tranquility by 1.
Increases team's Incantation DMG by 10% while protected by Blessing.
