In certain team rotations, Candace's hold Elemental Skill cooldown is too long for smooth execution. Without C4, avoid taking damage to skip the hold entirely and use a tap Skill as quickly as possible instead.

Candace is a 4★ Hydro support focusing on off-field application via her Burst, which scales with HP% and infuses melee allies' Normal Attacks with Hydro through Prayer of the Crimson Crown. Her Skill provides defensive utility. She is not the strongest in any role—offensive supports like Xingqiu deal more damage, and healers outclass her defense. Prioritize Energy Recharge for consistent Burst uptime, her main Hydro application source.

Weapon Choices:
Favonius Lance is her best-in-slot due to extreme Energy Recharge needs. Solo Hydro requires ~300% ER; with another Hydro unit, 200–250%. Each passive proc cuts ER requirement by 20%. Ensure enough CRIT Rate to trigger it reliably.
Engulfing Lightning provides high Energy Recharge, making it the next best option.
Staff of Homa and Deathmatch boost personal damage, notable at C6.
"The Catch" is the strongest F2P choice, offering Energy Recharge and enhanced Burst damage.

Artifact Choices:
Scroll of the Hero of Cinder City (4): Provides 12% DMG Bonus to the team and flat energy refund from its 2‑piece effect when a Nightsoul Burst triggers, even if Candace is not from Natlan.
Emblem of Severed Fate (4): The 2‑piece gives 20% Energy Recharge, and the 4‑piece converts extra ER into Burst damage, her strongest set. Alternatively, Emblem of Severed Fate (2) + Hydro Damage Bonus or Noblesse Oblige (2) works if EoSF is contested.
