A Tier TierJiuyuan Build Guide
Jiuyuan is an Anima-based burst DPS who only comes on-field to perform her combo when her energy is full and her special Rose Pact Bullets are maxed out. Her quickswap playstyle, frontloaded Ultimate, and Blossom enhancements make her a versatile A-tier unit who can function as both a DPS and a support.

Picture Frame: Increases ATK by 20% when the wearer's HP is above 50%; increases DEF by 20% when HP is below 50%.
Noros: Increases wearer's ATK by 12% for 10s when casting a Redirect Skill. Triggers up to once every 20s.

Epic (2): Anima DMG +10%. Legendary (4): Increases wearer's CRIT DMG by 8% when a nearby enemy takes Anima DMG from the Team, up to 7 stacks. Each stack lasts 10s. Effect remains active when the character is off-field.

- CRIT DMG is the universal safe choice for a quickswap sub-DPS.
- Cycle Intensity becomes an option in Blossom teams, especially alongside another Anima DPS like Nanally.

Mainly used to apply Lethal Rose Pact to enemies, so it can be leveled later.
Intel Lock-On (Support Skill)
Provides a secondary source of Rose Pact Bullets. Level this last.
When Secrets Take Shape (Basic Attack)
Used every other rotation to unload Rose Pact Bullets. Max second to improve its damage.
Final Reckoning (Ultimate)
The bulk of Jiuyuan's damage. Max this first since it accounts for about 80% of her damage during her burst window.
Awakening Priority
Intel Superiority
Amazing Awakening that gives 8% DMG increase for every instance of DMG dealt to enemies afflicted by Lethal Rose Pact, usually boosting all ticks of her Ultimate by 8%.
Intel Turns Into Blades
Mainly taken for the DMG ratio increase to Lethal Rose Pact. Also provides some healing when Pact Settlement triggers, making it both a DPS and quality-of-life upgrade.
Strike to Kill
Increases DMG when Pact Settlement is triggered. Good on paper, but only usable from the second rotation onward or with Anima teammates.
Know Every Secret
Deals DMG to enemies afflicted by Lethal Rose Pact, but relies on enemies performing attacks, making it inconsistent in optimized teams.
To Know, To Balance
Gives Jiuyuan a 5% to 15% ATK bonus for inflicting up to 3 enemies with Lethal Rose Pact. Small but welcome upgrade.
Advantage Established
Deals bonus break damage to the Pact Settlement target when casting Ultimate. Should be saved for last since it contributes little to overall damage.
How to Play
Jiuyuan is a quickswap burst sub-DPS who starts combat by using her Skill to group enemies and apply Lethal Rose Pact, then supports and main DPS run their rotations while the pact ticks. She returns to unload Rose Pact Bullets and finish with her Ultimate to detonate Pact Settlement.
Rotations
- 1Jiuyuan Skill → Shield/Mitigation Skill → Buffer Skill → Buffer Ultimate → Esper Zero Skill → Switch to DPS and perform rotation → Jiuyuan Ultimate
Tips
- Use Jiuyuan's Skill first in fights to group enemies before they scatter; the pull is wide and serves as the team's only grouping.
- Lethal Rose Pact lasts 25 seconds and drains HP; you can let it expire naturally instead of detonating it.
- Pair with Cosmos characters for more Blossom instances, or Incantation characters for Hexed teams with Anima DPS like Nanally or Mint.
