Roxy and Promeia Hit ZZZ 3.2. Which Banner Deserves Your Polychromes?

Every Zenless Zone Zero update forces a tough choice. Do you pull for the latest Agent or save your Polychromes for the next one? Version 3.2 makes that decision harder than usual. Two S-Rank characters, Roxy and Promeia, are both live in their limited-time channels right now. Each fills a different combat role, and picking between them depends on what your squad lacks.

Roxy brings a Wind attribute with the Stun specialty. She is built to stun enemies quickly and set up Chain Attacks. Promeia takes the Ice element into the Anomaly role, which means she applies attribute anomalies and enables Disorder combos. Their signature W-Engines, Crimson Moon Casket (Stun) and Frostfall Sickle (Anomaly), are also on the banners.

Version 3.2 went live on September 9, 2026 (UTC+8). The full Zenless Zone Zero update includes a check-in event called “En-Nah Into Your Lap,” plus two limited-time events: “Diary of an Orbie Parent” and “Chronicles of the Hobbling Crow.” A new main story chapter, “Their Secret Histories” (Season 3 Chapter 3), is also available.

Banner details and pull strategy

HoYoverse has not published exact phase durations or pity rates for the 3.2 banners. Based on past updates, each phase typically runs about three weeks. That is an estimate, not a guarantee, until the official schedule appears.

If you are free-to-play or low-spend, the strategy is simple. Decide which role your account needs more: a Stun Agent to break enemies quickly, or an Anomaly Agent to trigger elemental reactions. Commit your Polychromes to one banner. Splitting pulls between both banners risks walking away with neither.

Signature W-Engines like Crimson Moon Casket and Frostfall Sickle are tuned for Roxy and Promeia specifically. But pulling for a W-Engine is a luxury. Free-to-play players should secure the Agent first and treat the weapon banner as a secondary goal.

Events and rewards in 3.2

Three events run during Version 3.2. The check-in event “En-Nah Into Your Lap” rewards players simply for logging in during the event period. “Diary of an Orbie Parent” and “Chronicles of the Hobbling Crow” are task-based events, though HoYoverse has not detailed their specific objectives or reward tables yet.

All players should also find 600 Polychromes in their in-game mail as maintenance compensation. That is free currency, so claim it before it expires.

Team building with Roxy and Promeia

Roxy’s Wind and Stun combination suggests she fits into teams that need fast stun buildup. She pairs naturally with Wind damage dealers or any character that punishes stunned enemies. Without full kit details from HoYoverse, specific teammate recommendations remain speculative until the community runs tests.

Promeia’s Ice Anomaly kit points toward freeze and shatter compositions. She could slot into teams built around existing Ice DPS units or work alongside other Anomaly characters to trigger Disorder. Again, exact synergies are unconfirmed until her numbers are public.

What to do before and after the update

If you still have unfinished business from Version 3.1, wrap it up. Spend leftover Battery, claim expiring event rewards, and check your Polychrome balance. The 600 Polychrome compensation should already be in your mailbox.

Once you are in 3.2, your day-one priorities are simple:

• Claim the 600 Polychrome from your mail.
• Start “Their Secret Histories,” the new main story chapter (Season 3 Chapter 3).
• Open the event tab and begin the “En-Nah Into Your Lap” check-in.
• If you are pulling, choose between Roxy and Promeia and commit.

Version 3.2 does not reinvent Zenless Zone Zero, but it gives players two meaningful roster decisions and a handful of events to work through. Whether you chase Roxy, Promeia, or hold out for future patches, the update offers enough to keep proxies busy until the next cycle.
