Akekuri

A

endgame support

supportsp_generationbuffervanguard
Akekuri is a Heat Vanguard whose main value is fueling the team's SP economy. Her Combo Skill fires whenever an enemy is staggered, her Ultimate returns SP to the whole squad, and she also applies Heat Infliction plus a Link buff that boosts the next Battle Skill or Ultimate. That makes her an easy plug-in for nearly any lineup, though she contributes almost no damage herself.
This endgame support setup turns Akekuri into a full utility engine for the party. Thermite Cutter gives her a way to hand out an ATK buff every time she refills SP, while the Frontiers set both shortens her Combo Skill cooldown and grants the team a damage boost after each SP restore. The Redeemer Seal off-piece is slotted in specifically to charge her Ultimate faster, since SQUAD! ON ME! is where most of her SP and Link output comes from. Nothing here is meant to make her hit harder — every choice exists to raise her support uptime and multiply the value of the SP she feeds her allies. Use OBJ Edge of Lightness when the team leans on Heat or Electric, and treat Fortmaker as a budget pick that speeds up her Ultimate but gives no team buffs.

Insights

Core Mechanics

  • SP generation defines her kit: Flash and Dash refills SP every time an enemy becomes staggered or a Stagger Node is broken.
  • SQUAD! ON ME! channels and launches three Rallying Flares, each restoring SP for the party.
  • Burst of Passion is a frontal Heat slash that also applies Heat Infliction, enabling Heat-based reactions.
  • The Staying in the Zone talent grants a Link buff while the Ultimate is active, amplifying the team's following Battle Skill or Ultimate.
  • Her finisher attack on a staggered enemy also recovers a small amount of SP for herself.

Scaling

  • Her support package works from the start — the Combo Skill and Ultimate both function without gear investment.
  • Late game she scales with Intellect, since Cheer of Victory converts each 10 points of Intellect into extra SP recovery from Flash and Dash.
  • Offense stats are largely wasted on her; she is never meant to be a damage source.
  • She is team-dependent: the SP and Link she hands out only matter when allies can actually spend them.

Team Role

Akekuri fills the SP battery slot in a composition. She does not need to be the controlled operator — simply having her present lets the squad profit from Flash and Dash refills whenever a target staggers, and from the multi-flare SP recovery of SQUAD! ON ME!. Because her Combo Skill costs nothing and its trigger condition is easy to satisfy with most lineups, she works as a universal filler for teams that run dry on SP, and she also chips in Heat Infliction plus a Link buff that empowers the next Battle Skill or Ultimate. Build her toward Intellect, Combo Skill cooldown reduction, and Ultimate gain so those tools cycle faster; the reward is a smoother skill rotation for the whole party rather than personal output.

Explanation

Thermite Cutter is picked because its passive converts her SP recovery into a team-wide ATK buff, matching exactly what she already does.
Frontiers is the endgame set of choice: it cuts Combo Skill cooldown and pays the team a damage bonus after any SP-restoring skill.
Redeemer Seal replaces the fourth Frontiers slot to accelerate Ultimate charging, since her Ultimate is the biggest source of party SP and Link.
Swap to OBJ Edge of Lightness in Heat- or Electric-focused lineups, or use Fortmaker if you just want faster Ultimates without any team buff.

Notes

  • Frontiers trims her Combo Skill cooldown, so Flash and Dash comes back noticeably faster.
  • The set's party-wide DMG bonus procs whenever she restores SP, which fits her role perfectly.
  • Redeemer Seal is the off-piece chosen to push her Ultimate uptime, feeding more SP and Link.
