Razor's Elemental Burst, Lightning Fang, applies an Electro status effect when performing basic attacks while the burst is active. This makes it useful for status-cleansing strategies, though it does not have element-specific effectiveness. The effect is self-contained, meaning it can only be applied to Razor himself.
This ability can be particularly useful in teams leveraging Electro reactions or requiring consistent Electro application. Razor's role as an Electro DPS or Sub-DPS can be enhanced with proper artifact and weapon selection.
- Build Recommendations: - Artifact Set: Gladiator's Finale or Thundering Fury - Weapon: The Black Sword or Wolf's Gravestone
- Team Compositions: - Pair with Hydro or Cryo characters for Freeze or Electro-Charged reactions. - Use in combination with Anemo supports for Elemental Mastery enhancement.

Razor focuses on using his Burst's electro to trigger Hyperbloom. If you have C6 Bennett, you can infuse Razor's Normal Attacks with Pyro to trigger Hyperbloom, Burgeon, and Overload.
Regarding Weapon Choices:

Favonius Greatsword: This weapon sacrifices some of Razor's potential reaction damage for team energy.
Wolf's Gravestone: While the passive is inactive, this weapon outperforms Skyward Pride in every scenario except crowd battles.
Beacon of the Reed Sea: Weapon ranking assumes one stack, at two stacks it outperforms the other weapon options.
Redhorn Stonethresher: Depending on the amount of ATK% buffs you're getting, this weapon can overtake Wolf's Gravestone in personal damage.
The Unforged: The playstyle with this weapon becomes a lot more comfortable without having to worry about snapshotting Wolf's Gravestone / Song of Broken Pines buffs for Sub DPSes, while also granting more Shield Bonus for better Shield uptime. A shielder is required for this, with Zhongli being the most ideal option.
Serpent Spine: At [C6] and high refinement Serpent Spine, it is better to run an ATK% Goblet over Physical Damage%. This is due to the oversaturation of damage bonuses (ascension stat + Serpent Spine) in addition to the fact that Electro accounts for a significant portion of Razor's damage. An in-depth explanation can be found here. It is also worth noting that an [R5] Serpent Spine with max stacks can outperform all 5✩ weapons at [R1].
Skyward Pride: This weapon is viable with a Physical DMG goblet, as the damage dealt through its passive scales with Physical.

Regarding Artifact Sets:

Pale Flame (2) Bloodstained Chivalry (2): This set is better if your ATK% is covered by your substats, otherwise you would be better off running Gladiator's Finale (4). This is only recommended to those who have no immediate access to a decent Pale Flame (4) set, otherwise you would be better off investing on Pale Flame pieces, regardless of weapon choice.

Razor Skills

Steel Fang

Normal Attack
Performs up to 4 consecutive strikes.

Charged Attack
Drains Stamina over time to perform continuous spinning attacks against all nearby opponents.
At the end of the sequence, performs a more powerful slash.

Plunging Attack
Plunges from mid-air to strike the ground below, damaging opponents along the path and dealing AoE DMG upon impact.

Claw and Thunder

In the moment when lightning strikes, you can sometimes glimpse the look of a predator sizing up his prey deep within Razor's eyes.

Hunts his prey using the techniques taught to him by his master and his lupical.

Press
Swings the Thunder Wolf Claw, dealing Electro DMG to opponents in front of Razor.
Upon striking an opponent, Razor will gain an Electro Sigil, which increases his Energy Recharge rate.
Razor can have up to 3 Electro Sigils simultaneously, and gaining a new Electro Sigil refreshes their duration.

Hold
Gathers Electro energy to unleash a lightning storm over a small AoE, causing massive Electro DMG, and clears all of Razor's Electro Sigils.
Each Electro Sigil cleared in this manner will be converted into Energy for Razor.

Lightning Fang

The wolf has awoken. The hunt is on.

Summons the Wolf Within, which deals Electro DMG to all nearby opponents. This clears all of Razor's Electro Sigils, which will be converted into Elemental Energy for him.
The Wolf Within will fight alongside Razor for the skill's duration.

The Wolf Within
·Strikes alongside Razor's normal attacks, dealing Electro DMG.
·Raises Razor's ATK SPD and Electro RES.
·Causes Razor to be immune to DMG inflicted by the Electro-Charged status.
·Disables Razor's Charged Attacks.
·Increases Razor's resistance to interruption.

These effects end when Razor leaves the battlefield.
When Razor leaves the field, a maximum of 10 Energy will be returned to him based off the duration remaining on this skill.
