Chaos is a Main DPS who wants to stay on the field and dish out massive damage. His Skill applies Warrant to enemies, making them take increased damage from him, while his attacks build up his Crime gauge. Once Crime is full, holding the Basic Attack unleashes a powerful empowered 2-hit attack — his main damage source. He also empowers the Remora reaction, causing a burst of damage when Remora expires, so the longer Remora lasts the bigger the payoff. Most of his damage revolves around managing Warrant and Crime, but his kit is very straightforward and easy to pilot.

Golden Fleece: Increases the wearer's Lakshana DMG by 20%. Increases the wearer's CRIT DMG by 40% for 20s when they cast a Redirect Skill or Ultimate. Resets the duration when triggered again.
Knight's Candy: Increases the wearer's CRIT DMG by 4% for 10s after landing a critical hit, up to 10 stacks. Resets the duration when triggered again.
Tidal Ascension: Grants the wearer 10% ATK, 10% DEF, and 10% HP when the team has at least 3 different Esper Types.
Best Cartridge
Epic (2): Lakshana DMG +10%. Legendary (4): Increases Crit Chance by 14%. Team triggering Remora or Stain increases the bonus to 14% for 20s.
Best Main Stat: Lakshana DMG
- Since Chaos already has several ways to boost CRIT Rate and CRIT DMG, run Lakshana DMG on the main stat to push his damage higher.
- Desired substats: CRIT Rate, CRIT DMG, DMG, ATK%, ATK.

- This layout activates Street Boxer's 4-piece effect while maximizing the bonus Module's CRIT DMG.
- Prioritize CRIT Rate and CRIT DMG first, especially CRIT Rate if you are using What's Desired.
- Aim for Modules that carry the listed sub stats to maximize Chaos's damage output.
Best Teams
A Remora-focused team that plays to Chaos's Remora Enhancement, which deals a burst of damage when Remora expires — and the longer Remora has lasted, the bigger that explosion. Hathor and Skia extend or reapply Remora, Esper Zero triggers it easily with his Skill, and Haniel buffs the team while helping apply Stain to raise the Lakshana and Psyche damage everyone deals.

Hathor
Sub-DPS (Flex)
Extends Remora's duration and boosts team CRIT Rate against affected enemies. Skia can replace her.
Zero
Sub-DPS
Second Sub-DPS who easily triggers Remora with his Skill.
Haniel
Support (Flex)
Buffs the team and helps apply Stain, increasing Lakshana and Psyche damage. Fadia is an option for more survivability.
Alternatives
Start with a Psyche or Cosmos character who has full Cycle Energy, then swap to Chaos to immediately trigger Stain or Remora.
Use Haniel's Skill to buff the active character and help trigger Stain before Chaos goes to work.
Swap to Esper Zero to trigger Remora (use his Skill if Remora did not trigger), then swap back to Chaos.
Use Chaos's Skill to apply Warrant, then run Basic Attack combos until the Crime gauge is full.
Hold the Basic Attack to perform the empowered attack, use his Ultimate when available, and repeat.
Whenever Hathor's Skill is up, swap to her and use it to build toward her Ultimate.
- Remora's explosion scales with how long the debuff lasted, so extending Remora with Hathor or Skia directly increases Chaos's burst damage.
- Haniel's Skill and Ultimate grant a damage buff and additional attacks to the active character.
- Fadia is the pick if you would rather trade buffs for survivability.
Skill Priority
Doubtmark (Skill)
Its main purpose is applying Warrant to enemies. Since Warrant's damage buff does not scale with level, you can level this after Pursuit and Retribution.
Onslaught (Support Skill)
Level this last — it only improves the Support Skill's damage output.
Pursuit (Basic Attack)
Your rotation is built on staying on the field and using the Basic Attack and held Basic Attack, so leveling Pursuit raises Chaos's general damage output the most.
Retribution (Ultimate)
Retribution deals a large amount of damage, so improving it lets Chaos hit even harder whenever he uses his Ultimate and enters Dread Echo.
Awakening Priority
False Origin
Immediately fills the Crime gauge whenever Chaos uses his Ultimate, letting him fire off an empowered held Basic Attack right away and squeeze extra damage into the Dread Echo window.
Piercing Insight
Increases the Crime Chaos gains when attacking enemies affected by Warrant, so his gauge fills quickly even without Dread Echo active.
Charge / Sin
Lets Chaos ignore part of the target's DEF when attacking Warrant-afflicted enemies, raising his overall damage since Warrant is always applied.
Emberflare
Increases Chaos's CRIT DMG for a duration after using his Ultimate, boosting his empowered Basic Attacks, which he can use more often under Dread Echo.
Voidgaze
Increases damage dealt to a Warrant-afflicted enemy when they are the only one with Warrant, mainly useful for boss fights.
Drowning Tide
Transfers Warrant from defeated enemies to nearby unmarked targets, useful when fighting multiple enemies at once.
How to Play
Chaos is a field-hungry Main DPS: apply Warrant with his Skill, attack to fill the Crime gauge, then spend it on the empowered held Basic Attack. Use his Ultimate to apply Dread Echo and charge Crime rapidly so you can chain empowered attacks, and keep Remora applied so his Remora Enhancement explodes for big damage when it expires.
Rotations
- 1Haniel Skill → Swap to Chaos (Stain Trigger) → Swap to Esper Zero (Remora Trigger) (use Esper Zero Skill if Remora did not trigger) → Swap back to Chaos (Remora Trigger) → Chaos Skill (applies Warrant) → Basic Attack combo until Crime gauge is full → Hold Basic Attack → Ultimate if available → Basic Attack combo until Crime gauge is full → Hold Basic Attack → Repeat
Tips
- Open every fight with Chaos's Skill to apply Warrant — enemies with Warrant take increased damage from him.
- Roughly three full Basic Attack combos fill the Crime gauge, so keep attacking and landing hits.
- Once Crime is full, hold the Basic Attack to perform the empowered attack; it consumes the entire gauge and is his main damage source.
- Use Chaos's Ultimate to apply Dread Echo on himself, quickly charging Crime so you can perform multiple empowered attacks in one window.
- Apply Remora whenever possible to trigger his Remora Enhancement burst of damage.
- Level Pursuit and Retribution first, then Doubtmark and Onslaught.
