Jiuyuan is an Anima-based burst DPS who excels at quickswap playstyles, coming in when her energy and special bullets are maxed to unleash a frontloaded Ultimate. Her Blossom enhancements and crowd control make her versatile as both a DPS and Support, earning her an A-tier rating.

Increases ATK by 20% when the wearer's HP is above 50%; increases DEF by 20% when HP is below 50%.
Increases wearer's ATK by 12% for 10s when casting a Redirect Skill. Triggers up to once every 20s.
Best Cartridge
Epic (2): Anima DMG +10%. Legendary (4): Increases wearer's CRIT DMG by 8% when a nearby enemy takes Anima DMG from the Team, up to 7 stacks. Each stack lasts 10s. Effect remains active when the character is off-field.
Best Main Stat: CRIT DMG or Cycle Intensity
- CRIT DMG is a safe universal choice for quickswap Sub-DPS.
- Cycle Intensity amplifies Blossom damage if used in a Blossom team, especially with another Anima DPS like Nanally.

Best Teams
Nanally takes the spot as the Main DPS to help take over for Jiuyuan after her burst. Esper Zero functions as the quickswap Esper Cycle enabler, with Sakiri as the generalist buffer. This team has great crowd control from both Jiuyuan and Sakiri, but is ultimately sustainless.

Jiuyuan takes the role of a Burst Sub-DPS, often paired with another DPS unit like Nanally or Mint to take Jiuyuan's place on-field once her combo is finished. Sakiri serves as the team's main buffer, buffing both Jiuyuan and Nanally, and Adler functions as the team's shielder and Incantation applicator for the Hexed Esper Cycle. Note that Jiuyuan's passive is made for the Blossom Esper Cycle, so it cannot be utilized in this team comp.

Skill Priority
Intel Hunter (Skill)
Jiuyuan's Skill can be leveled later on since it is mainly used to apply Lethal Rose Pact to enemies.
Intel Lock-On (Support Skill)
Provides a secondary source of Rose Pact Bullets, and is mainly used for this. Level this last.
When Secrets Take Shape (Basic Attack)
Jiuyuan's Basic Attack is used every other rotation to unload her Rose Pact Bullets, and should be maxed second to improve its damage.
Final Reckoning (Ultimate)
The bulk of most of Jiuyuan's damage. Max this first since it is responsible for 80% of her damage output during her burst window.
Awakening Priority
Intel Superiority
Amazing Awakening Effect that gives Jiuyuan an 8% DMG increase for every instance of DMG she performs to enemies afflicted by Lethal Rose Pact. This usually means all ticks of her Ultimate deal 8% more DMG in total.
Intel Turns Into Blades
Mainly taken for the DMG ratio increase to Lethal Rose Pact. Also provides some healing when Pact Settlement is triggered, making it both a DPS increase and a welcome Quality-of-Life upgrade.
Strike to Kill
Increases DMG when Pact Settlement is triggered. Good on paper, but can only be used on second rotation and onwards, or with Anima teammates, since it allows Jiuyuan to end her combos with improved Rose Pact Bullet DMG before swapping off.
Know Every Secret
Deals DMG to enemies afflicted by Lethal Rose Pact, but is inconsistent since it relies on enemies performing attacks, which makes its usefulness inconsistent since teams should optimally be able to weakness break enemies reliably.
To Know, To Balance
Gives Jiuyuan a 5% to 15% ATK bonus for inflicting a maximum of 3 enemies with Lethal Rose Pact. Not too big of an upgrade, but it is welcome.
Advantage Established
Deals bonus break damage to the Pact Settlement target when casting Ultimate. Should be saved for last since it does not contribute much to Jiuyuan's overall damage.
How to Play
Jiuyuan is an Anima-based burst DPS who comes in when her energy is full and special bullets are maxed. She has a quickswap playstyle with a frontloaded Ultimate and Blossom enhancements, making her versatile as both DPS and Support. She is rated A-tier.
Rotations
- 1Standard Jiuyuan Rotation: Jiuyuan Skill → Shield/Mitigation Skill → Buffer Skill → Buffer Ultimate → Esper Zero Skill → Switch to DPS and perform rotation → Jiuyuan Ultimate.
- 2Most of Jiuyuan's rotation happens outside of the team's actual rotation, becoming the start and end of every combat scenario. Use her Skill to pull enemies in and use it as crowd control as you run your rotations on everyone else.
- 3Once your DPS window is complete, before restarting your rotation, swap back to Jiuyuan and use her Ultimate to activate Pact Settlement damage, then use her Skill to gather them all again.
Tips
- Cast Jiuyuan's Skill first to apply Lethal Rose Pact before switching to supports.
- Use her Ultimate to trigger Pact Settlement for extra damage.
- Expend Rose Pact Bullets before using Ultimate to maximize damage.
- Pair with Cosmos or Incantation characters for Blossom or Hexed teams.
- Lethal Rose Pact deals continuous HP damage and can explode on its own if left to expire.
- Use her Skill to group enemies as crowd control, but be aware other attacks may break the grouping.
