Wuthering Waves (WuWa) Characters Tierlist - Ultimate Ranking and Analysis

Welcome to our comprehensive Wuthering Waves Characters Tierlist. Here, we rank the characters based on their abilities, strengths, and overall utility in the game. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned player, this guide will help you make informed decisions.

Explanation

EncoreEncore

Encore is an excellent choice for a Fusion DPS in the game, focused on delivering pure damage without restraint. When she enters her Cosmos Rave state, she deals massive amounts of Fusion DMG against enemies.

However, her Cosmos Rave state does not provide crowd control, which can be a concern when facing repetitive damage. Additionally, this state only lasts for 10 seconds.

MortefiMortefi

Mortefi has a unique mechanic that allows coordinated Fusion attacks to follow whenever you attack enemies. This ensures Mortefi deals damage even when off-field, significantly increasing his value in fights.

He's also a relatively easy 4-star unit to obtain.

SanhuaSanhua

Sanhua is one of the best Sub-DPS in the game, providing Basic Attack DMG Deepen to the next character who takes the field. Sanhua also deals decent damage, although she relies on her Heavy Attacks to detonate ice structures.

BaizhiBaizhi

Baizhi is the secondary healer you can run when you don't have Verina. She can burst-heal using her Resonance Skill and Liberation, as well as continuously heal and buff the next character that takes the field for 36 seconds.

Baizhi also provides ATK boosts to the next on-field DPS that picks up the Euphonia generated by You'tan.

Unlocking her Inherent Skill 1 also provides ATK boosts to the next on-field DPS.

DanjinDanjin

Danjin is a great DPS for free-to-play players, able to deal huge amounts of damage as long as you properly manage her HP-drain mechanic.

However, this may be challenging to do, especially against tougher enemies, so player skill plays a significant role in making sure Danjin survives fights.

Rover (Havoc)Rover (Havoc)

Rover (Havoc) is a great damage dealer, allowing for easy activation of their Dark Surge state. They have high burst damage capability, but their Basic Attack is where they shine the most.

You'll need to hone your dodging skills to maximize their Basic Attack damage during Dark Surge as much as possible.

JianxinJianxin

Jianxin is an excellent jack-of-all-trades Main-DPS/Sub-DPS hybrid, providing both grouping and AoE damage against multiple enemies. Her Outro Skill also buffs Resonance Liberation DMG, making her a great Sub-DPS as well.

She can also hold her own as a Main-DPS, providing grouping and AoE damage.

AaltoAalto

Aalto is a good Sub-DPS unit that can buff Aero DMG while holding her own by dealing decent damage. However, she is outclassed by other Sub-DPS units that also deal damage off-field like Mortefi.

Rover (Spectro)Rover (Spectro)

Rover (Spectro) is a jack of all trades, providing great Sub-DPS capabilities by executing time stop with her Outro Skill, as well as showing glimmers of Main-DPS capabilities with her high-damage Resonance Liberation.

Unfortunately, this resulted in Spectro Rover falling off compared to other characters with pure Main-DPS or Sub-DPS roles.

YangyangYangyang

Yangyang is the first free 4-star character that all players will get. She provides decent damage and utility with her Aero grouping, but falls off quickly once players unlock better Sub-DPS units that provide DMG buffs.

YuanwuYuanwu

Yuanwu is a Sub-DPS unit that follows up with coordinated Electro DMG even when off-field. He can also reduce the enemy's Vibration Strength through his Resonance Skill.

This reduction only applies to enemies inside the circle of effect and can be easily avoided by mobile enemies in Wuthering Waves.

ChixiaChixia

Chixia is a DPS unit that excels against hoards of enemies due to her mobility and ease of use. She can take on single-target bosses with ease as long as you can reposition and evade properly.

However, her performance starts to decline when dealing with multiple enemies.

LingyangLingyang

Lingyang is currently outclassed by his 5-star peers, especially those with great AoE damage capabilities. He also lacks a dedicated Glacio support and his damage has been subpar compared to other Main-DPS in the game.

TaoqiTaoqi

Taoqi is a character that scales off DEF, providing shields when needed. However, there's an Echo that provides the same shielding effect, making her less essential.

She's also outclassed by Verina and Baizhi who provide straight-up All-Type Deepen than just Resonance Skill DMG boost.
