Klee has access to a number of animation cancels that allow her to deal damage with her talents faster than normal. Her N1 can be canceled through holding a directional key while clicking attack. This can be chained over and over again to produce a "machine gun" effect.
Her optimal combos include N1C and N2C.

N1C is higher DPS but eats stamina faster
N2C has more consistency in keeping enemies stunned and gives a higher chance of obtaining her A1 passive onto the following CA

Klee is a Pyro character who requires great positioning and the use of a shielder due to being extremely squishy and prone to interruptions. The caveat of this is that while her best teams don't include a shielder, she can often get knocked around and even KO'd in the midst of your rotations. Running a shielder makes survivability with Klee more comfortable, but at the cost of total DPS. You can choose teammates depending on your level of skill and comfortability.
Regarding Weapon Choice: Weapon rankings assume Klee is in a team with Bennett AND a shielder.

The Widsith: At R5, this weapon performs better than Lost Prayer to the Sacred Winds. Klee cannot reliably utilize the Elemental Mastery buff, should she acquire it.
Memory of Dust: When played without a shielder, this weapon performs worse than Solar Pearl.
Solar Pearl: At R5, this weapon performs better than The Widsith R1. When using Solar Pearl, it is recommended to animation cancel a Normal Attack into an Elemental Skill and cancel that into her Elemental Burst at the start of her field time.
Flowing Purity: If you are able to reliably clear the Bond of Life, this weapon performs better than Crane's Echoing Call.
Tome of the Eternal Flow and Cashflow Supervision: In teams with Furina's HP drain, you can activate their passive effects, allowing them to surpass Lost Prayer to the Sacred Winds.

Regarding Artifact Sets:

Lavawalker (4): Klee's kit makes it harder to utilize Vaporize and Melt the same way another Pyro carry would, but her constant Pyro application makes Lavawalker (4) a viable set.
Crimson Witch of Flames (4): This set is only recommended in a team where Klee is able to trigger Vaporize consistently.
Wanderer's Troupe (4): This set increases the Charged Attack by another 35% Damage Bonus. It can serve as a decent DPS choice but due to how clunky Klee's attack animations are, it's hard to put this in actual practice as it requires you to dodge more and consume more stamina, not to mention how the DPS gets caught up by the other builds mentioned above.
Marechaussee Hunter (4): This becomes Klee's best set in teams that are running Furina. The DPS increase compared to split set options is so significant that it's advisable to opt for Furina even in situations where fanfare stack generation is sub-optimal, particularly with single-target healers like Bennett.

Regarding Substats: Elemental Mastery is only useful on Klee if she can reliably trigger some reactions. If not, then it can be ignored.

Normal Attack
Throws things that go boom when they hit things! Performs up to 3 explosive attacks, dealing AoE Pyro DMG.

Charged Attack
Consumes a certain amount of Stamina and deals AoE Pyro DMG to opponents after a short casting time.

Plunging Attack
Gathering the power of Pyro, Klee plunges towards the ground from mid-air, damaging all opponents in her path. Deals AoE Pyro DMG upon impact with the ground.

Jumpy Dumpty

Jumpy Dumpty is Klee's good friend! She can't help but introduce him to everyone.

Jumpy Dumpty is tons of boom-bang-fun!
When thrown, Jumpy Dumpty bounces thrice, igniting and dealing AoE Pyro DMG with every bounce.

On the third bounce, the bomb splits into many mines.
The mines will explode upon contact with opponents, or after a short period of time, dealing AoE Pyro DMG.

Starts with 2 charges.

When Jumpy Dumpty and Normal Attacks deal DMG, Klee has a 50% chance to obtain an Explosive Spark.
This Explosive Spark is consumed by the next Charged Attack, which costs no Stamina and deals 50% increased DMG.

When Klee's Charged Attack results in a CRIT Hit, all party members gain 2 Elemental Energy.
