Prioritize HP scaling polearms like Black Tassel and artifact sets like Tenacity of the Millelith (4) to capitalize on Zhongli's Shield. Casting Elemental Burst is usually a DPS loss due to the cast time, so it's best used for Crowd Control. Pairing Zhongli with Xingqiu and/or Beidou allows for damage reduction from orbitals, making his shield nearly unbreakable. **Artifact and Weapon Priorities** * Crit Rate should only be considered when using Favonius Lance to reliably proc the passive. * Favonius Lance: Use this over Black Tassel if you value team energy (build some Crit Rate to trigger the passive). * Archaic Petra (4): Can be more useful than Tenacity of the Millelith (4) in teams without ATK buffs or with another Tenacity of the Millelith holder. * Scroll of the Hero of Cinder City (4): Preferred over Archaic Petra with multiple Crystallize-compatible Elements or Geo characters. * Tenacity of the Millelith (4): Best in slot for Shield HP, but inconsistent against Bosses and requires good Construct placement. * Deepwood Memories (4): Works best in Dendro reaction focused teams, allowing for damage-focused sets like Gilded Dreams or Flower of Paradise Lost. * Instructor (4): Used in reaction-focused teams like Ganyu Melt or Hu Tao Vape, where damage is prioritized over shield strength. **Burst Support** Zhongli can be a Geo Burst damage dealer due to his short Elemental Burst cooldown (12s) and low energy cost (40 Energy). His Elemental Skill Hold Cast (Shield) scales with HP, and at Ascension 4, his Elemental Burst scales with 33% of his Max HP. **Artifact and Weapon Priorities** * Favonius Lance: If the team values particles, this can be better than other options (build some Crit Rate to trigger the passive). * ATK sands provide more damage than HP sands but have lesser Shield HP. Consider running HP sands for more Shield HP. * Noblesse Oblige (2) Archaic Petra (2): Suitable for lower ER requirements where Zhongli doesn't need to worry about energy needs. * Noblesse Oblige (4): Provides utility when casting Elemental Burst, use if no other team member is equipping this set. * Tenacity of the Millelith (4): Provides utility and stronger shields when Elemental Skill hits an enemy.
