Yelan serves as an off-field Hydro DPS, enabling reactions through consistent elemental application. Her Elemental Burst requires Normal Attacks to trigger, much like Xingqiu.
Weapon choices: Hunter’s Path / Polar Star / Thundering Pulse / Skyward Harp – slightly outperform Slingshot but ignore Base ATK and have suboptimal passives. Don’t pull these for her if other characters benefit more. Elegy for the End – weak for personal damage; use only in teams that utilize its buff well. Mouun’s Moon – best at [R3+]; HP% goblet can beat Hydro DMG% in teams with heavy DMG% buffing. Sacrificial Bow – needs [R3–R5] to avoid rotation desync and extended field time. Aqua Simulacra – still best personal damage even at high Energy Recharge requirements, but may be impractical without an ER weapon.
Artifact sets & main stats: Marechaussee Hunter (4) – only for on-field Yelan with Furina; strongest set in that case. Goblet: Hydro DMG% by default. HP% goblet can be competitive in teams with high DMG% buffing or weapons. Never run more than 2 HP% main stat artifacts.
Talent priority: Normal Attack – level only if you frequently use Breakthrough Barbs.
